As always, very informative video. Bringing another Greyhound into the home does require thought and preparation. I adopted Red then 1 month later added Peanut into the family. Best move I ever made. Peanut is the alpha. I have always fed them separately. Red in the kitchen and peanut in the dining room. No issues. They do gobble their food so I bought two bowls with a raised center to encourage them to eat slower. My main concert was bloat. The new bowls do seem to slow them down a bit. It’s like they’re competing against each other to see who finishes first. Best companions I’ve ever had. Including several women.Lol!!

Thank you :-) in kennels, if they are kenneled in pairs they are probably fed together as well, so i think they can tend to eat fast so they don't lose it to their kennel mate. Mine all learn to respect the others' bowls, and they aren't allowed to stick their nose in until the other dog has walked away. After that it's fair game!

@@jwcaninecare I’ll stand guard because Peanut usually finishes first. Being the dominate one, she’ll try to move in on Red’s food. However they usually finish at the same time. Their personalities are so different from one another.

Thank you once again!! would the same info apply to fostering another hound? Do you have any additional tips for fostering?

Definitely Marie, you would still need to be aware of settling the foster dog in carefully with the resident one. Fostering can be a great way of preparing a dog for their forever home or working on any issues they may have. For you it can be a way of testing how your household works with an additional dog... But sometimes it can be pretty hard to let them go 🤣
