"I can't complain, but sometimes I still do" best line ever.
When Glen Frey of the Eagles was asked what he thought of Joe!!! He replied "he's an interesting bunch of guys"🤪!!!!
My favorite quote about Joe 🤣
Humorous lyricist. Joe Walsh is a special type of ‘crazy’. He laughed all the way to the bank with this song!
Daryl's House is SO much fun to watch :)
You probably already know this, but just in case -- Joe Walsh was part of the supergroup called The Eagles and Darryl Hall was part of the duo called Hall & Oates. Both groups were fantastic.
It'll definitely be just tea, Joe is a recovering alcoholic. And, I wish he'd just hurry up and write his memoirs, he has so many fabulous stories to tell.
The drummer, Brian Dunne, is incredible in every episode of Daryl’s House.
Joe Walsh is quite the character. He is funny and playful and a superb musician.
I played this song on repeat when it first came out. I always loved Joe's sense of humor and how he intertwined it in his music. Loved the reaction! 💛🤘🤙✌️
The lyrics are just so funny, Joe always makes each performance different.
Turns out Joe got pretty good at playing the guitar. He's one of my favorites.
an absolute Icon is Joe Walsh.
Ever get a chance to watch Joe do a speech he’s hilarious.😂
My then husband and I saw Eagles in 1993 on their reunion tour, and this song was DEFINITELY the highlight of the night!
Thank you for following Daryl's house. He has All the top notch musicians there. So cool. Keep up the great videos. Love you guys.
Joe famously talks about his sobriety, saying that in 1970, he got drunk once, and he didn't sober up for 25 years. He was famous for large hotel damage bills, and "Living in the Fast lane".
It's the classic "I can buy anything I want in life but I can't buy myself a life" song.
This is Joe's self-deprecating humor. The lyrics, while reflecting real life for Joe, especially early in his life, is done tongue in cheek. He's making fun of that lifestyle and its self-important indulgence.
And now he can invite some of the best musicians and artists over for lunch and a jam session. Now that's the life.
It's worth giving the studio version a listen as well, since it has a surprise at the end.
That is a Jam!
Joe Walsh is an inspirational figure in the sobriety movement. Love him.
"i only got drunk once - for 25 years." love him, too.
LOVE JOE WALSH!!! He's one of my FAVS!!! ALL his songs are SO GOOD!!! Also loved him with the James Gang!! Funk #49 is a GOOD ONE!!!
Jo's a real performer, a good story man. Great reaction.
Joe's song was 'Rocky Mountain WAY', not to be confused with John Denver's 'Rocky Mountain High'. Both great tunes. Love you guys and your channel. Keep it up!
Joe is the definition of a Rockstar 🤘🤘 Daryl Hall is a legend also 🤘🤘
Joe was great in the James Gang and Eagles even better Solo ❤
You made me laugh out loud when you said when most people lose their driver's license they moved to a bus ! Lol
EXCELLENT !!!!!!!
My first electric guitar was also a Silvertone which I bought used from a local country and western musician because he wanted to upgrade.
Joe's brother inlaw is Ringo Starr from the Beatles. His godson is Roy Orbison III, grandson of Roy Orbison. Has a mansion but doesn't stay there, was because he was touring all the time. When he says he lost his license now he don't drive is because he lost his wallet and never had his license replaced. ❤❤❤😂
Such a fun song!!!😂
Just to clarify, it's Daryl's house not Joe's. This is from a show called Daryl's House. Daryl is Daryl Hall from the singing due Hall and Oates and he built this studio in his house and has guest musicians/singers over to jamb with him and his house band and they play several of the guests favorite tunes. He has had many, many famous guests over the years. It' s real treat to watch. This particular song that Joe Walsh is singing is definitely HIS life story. He had a reputation for getting pretty crazy while traveling on the road which was heavily influenced by drug and alcohol addiction. The band The Eagles, when they first started up, had kind of country vibe which they wanted to loose and figured they needed a rockin' guitar player to change that vibe. They recruited Joe Walsh into the band. He certainly changed the vibe however his destructive hotel antics ended up getting the band banned my many hotels. In 1980 the Eagles broke up for a number of reasons and vowed to never get back together unless hell froze over. Joe had a solo career during this period which is when he wrote this song. Well in 1994 they had in intervention with Joe Walsh and forced him to go into rehab to clean himself up. He did and the Eagles re-united and their first tour was the 'Hell Freezes Over Tour' and they have been together ever since.
Love Joe Walsh ❤❤❤
Joe has a great sense of humor. Hearing him speak, you would never guess he is a singer, but he is and it's awesome.
I believe Daryl's house is a farm in upstate NY or NH, and the studio is a rehabbed barn or other outbuilding
You should definitely check out Hall & Oates. They were fantastic. There is a live gig for the song "Sara Smile" from Rockpalast. Absolutely mesmerizing!
I have always loved Joe Walsh. You should check out Funk 49 when he was with the group the James Gang.
Funk 49 from this session!
Love the James Gang!
YAY! This song is SO **KickAss** & **Funny** Weeeeee **Luvit** Ya both **ROCK!!!**
❤❤ to yous guys from Madison WI.
This is a fun video and Darryl’s house would be a fun place to visit. You get a glimpse of Joe’s playful character here. But seriously folks 😂, go back and listen to the studio version of this song. You’ll be glad you did.
Joe Walsh is the red bandana guy in Hotel California.
I would love to go hang out at Daryl's house! Great musicians! Incredible
Joe Walsh with Leslie West & Mountain("Mississippi Queen") was the first concert I ever went to - in 1973 snuck into the infamous Academy of Music on 14th Street in NYC... I was 14. Daryl Hall's house/studio is located in Pawling, N.Y.- about 60 miles north of NYC.
The epitome of a rock and roll exisetence summed up in 3 minutes. I'm not a massive fan of Joe but this is pure genius, with a hint of Python and Spinal Tap .Love it.
Joe was a wild man when younger...lol Quite a biography if you ever want to explore his story.
You are both so cute.!
Just a headshakingly cool tune.
Especially when life hasn't been that bad. Clarinets? The cop following me when I was going 110 mph was more interested in pulling the guy going 125mph in front of me I was following over. He saved me a lot of money.
Joe is an amateur radio operator. WB6ACU. He holds the top license class, as an amateur Extra Class. Great guy.
THAT WAS JOE'S LIFE AND LIFESTYLE ANDREI AND DOMENICA😊, GLAD YOU GUYS GOT TO TAKE THIS IN 👍
Of course you're gonna realize that Joe Walsh is a little buzzed Of course, they're actually at Daryl Hall's house. He has a recording studio there and there's a lot of live concerts from big stars At his house that you could react to. Because theyre at house, in the end they all get buzzed. He's got a huge bar!!!
Mom ordered my first guitar from the Sears and Roebuck catalog in 1980.
AT LAST!!
When they talk about tea, they're talking about Long Island iced tea that has many, many different kinds of liquors mixed together and you don't realize how strong it is!
Nope. Not in this case. They wouldn’t be offering Joe that. Joe’s sober.
Joe Walsh was a notorious drunk and druggy who trashed a lot of hotel rooms. He cleaned up in the 90's.
Walsh related the story that in 1994, he woke up after blacking out on an airplane to Paris. When he arrived, he had his passport, but did not remember getting on the plane. That was his turning point, and he has been sober ever since.
My favorite version of this song is from when Joe Walsh was with the Eagles, on the double album "Eagles Live" (1980) 😁
Here it is: ruclips.net/video/v6pzg3HD4xI/видео.html
Joe Walsh is the clown Prince of R & R. His solo albums are hilarious. "Life's Been Good".
OHHHHHH YEAHHHH, IT WAS BLOCKED??? 😮☹NO WAYYYYY, THAT'S CRAZY! WOWWWW
Joe has been clean and sober for a long time now. Unlike he was when he wrote this song. He and Ringo Starr are brothers in laws.
I had rather listen to Joe Walsh talk than hear some people play music. 😂❤
Not bad for some 65 yo guys
Got any gum ???? 🤪🤪🤪👍
Joe said he wrote to to laugh at what people thought it was like, sure he had his parties but its over exaggerated according to him
That's not nearly as good as the offical version.
