Man, I am a Computer Science student with a fair bit of interest in Linux, and I also love Herman's guitar playing ...this was one of the most shocking moments of my life to know that he was a Unix Sysadmin...like wowww 🔥🔥
Wow, big reveal 4 me. Herman Li was Linux SysAdmin! Man that's freaking cool. Big probs and greets from a long time die-hard musician software engineer.
I just discovered Herman on Twitch and RUclips but I’m in love with dragon force since guitar hero. Imagine starting your guitar career with Guitar hero to jam years later with Herman, it’s amazing!
Put this on Spotify as a podcast please!!!!! Like make this a series on Spotify it'd be sick. Love hearing you converse with other guitarists and jamming out with them.
Listening Dragon Force since Middle School. First time know from Guitar Hero Song “Through the Fire and Flames” Searching the video on internet, first time watching the video i said “who the f*** is he?” Play Guitar like a beast! It’s Herman Li! After that download full album from internet (ill*g*l sorry), always listening “Valley of the Damned” and all of their song. Until now still Really Love Dragon Force Song. When Driving at Night it really give me “Power Up” like buff in game. LOL Thank you so much for your transfusion Spirit !
This was what i and we all have been waiting for!!!! I even asked in the seperate streams of both of you when you guys were going to stream together!!!! I am so happy to see this!!!
Ah Guitar Hero. That takes me back lol. I remember they had a display in a Game store in the UK with a setup of GH3. I dsecided to pick up the little plastic guitar (bearing in mind i had owned thge game for a while) I started playing DF on Hard (couldn't do expert) and I'm there tapping away just mindning my own. Then I finish up. I turn round to my dudes behind me to be like "lol" and then I see like 20+ people stood there just watching me and then they start clapping. Literally the most surreal expreince of my life lol.
Nik you're insane too Sometimes you think you "re "bad" compared to other players but bro dw you're pretty insane i wish i could have this kind of level We all know we'd never have guhtrie govan s level or shawn lane or whatever but yep you re great these guys really i hope i ll get to 50% of their level
I have an Ibanez story, thru them not being personally my favourite guitar make......but one Ibanez is owned by my friend, Andreia Gomez, and is the only Ibanez I'm impressed by the sound of.......one afternoon we were crashed out on grass in last year's blazing sun, after a friend of ours birthday party (we made a lot of pina coladas specially for him).....& I decided to say to Andreia what I thought of Ibanez guitars.....BUT......hers is the only one I like the sound of, & she answered, "Yes, my guitar teacher, back in the day, offered me £5,000 for it, but I told him I didn't want to sell it." It's all black, & all black seems to be a lucky colour for a guitar sounding better than the rest.....Gibson Black Beauties, the all-black SG of Tony Iommi's......one of Nik's faves in this too-short clip.....I stopped playing a long time ago, but I like listening to these interviews, nice job Herman!
Can we get Gee playing Revolution Deathsquad (and/or his technical difficulties with the first try)? I think you'd find, not necessarily a lot of number reaction but the comments would show a lot of people would love to see that song. We were talking about this on the r/DragonForce subreddit (one of the only things I'm on reddit for) and someone said it shouldn't be that hard to learn Cry for Eternity. I told them how you mentioned it's not worth the effort based on imediate fan reaction at the show. But I think that even tho everyone won't freak out right there in-house, there would be a slower burn of hype over the greater fan base to hear a new song or more songs as they come into the set list. Just hearing about it or seeing the vids online. And then learning them allows you to be able to play more on stream as well. So it might seem like the effort's not worth the reward... but I think it would be, just not all upfront or at once.
I'm a big fan of you herman hope you can call out gabriel guardian. He is the only guitar player can play guitar and organ at the same time. He is immortal guardian guitarist.
Thanks for inviting me on the show Herman, it was an absolute blast hanging out and jamming together! :)

Whoa, I didn't expect Nik to be this good at improvisation. The stuff that he comes up with on the spot is mind blowing!
I had no idea Nik had these lead guitar skills, I thought he was all about the chuggy chug. Mind blown.

John Petrucci is our Lord and Savior. One shall not question Mr. Petrucci, for as Mr. Petrucci can end all of existence by playing at one million BPM.
