  • Diamond Bottleneck latest glass material for hand-blowing into glass tubes by glass-working craftsmen - and then cut into suitable lengths for guitarists.
These are simply the best yet.
Oh, and don’t be put off buying them because they are glass - and could break easily - because they don’t !
I’ve dropped my ones on tiled floors, and my garage concrete floor - and they just bounce, instead of break !
They feel wonderful in your hand - the surface polish is so amazing, it feels like the glass is molten smooth !
    And they sound fab.
    My absolute favourite slides !!
Here I am playing a selection of them, in all sorts of colours, on my early 1930 National Style O resonator guitar.
Check out Diamond Bottleneck blown-glass slides !!

Those are cool looking slides and sound great, although you would sound great with a rusty pipe on your finger so... Nice job!

This is Diamond Bottleneck's website :
      www.diamondbottlenecks.com/
Some of the leaded glass slides featured on the website are becoming less available now BUT, no fear, as their new German Glass slides are the best they have ever made, in my opinion, buying them for over 20yrs now. Contact Ian McWee and make sure you ask for a German Glass slide !
I highly recommend you don't need a slide any longer than the width of your guitar fretboard. I personally ask for 52mm long, and an internal diameter wider than my pinky, so that I can bend my pinky inside, to grip the slide from inside. I'm really loving the thick/fat glass slides - which gives a larger external diameter - which I think contacts the string better - for better tone. If you had a metal slide that wide, it would be far too heavy.
If you notice in the video, I don't push the slide all the way up "to the hilt" (you can still see my 2nd knuckle) as its easier to bend my pinky & place the slide onto the fretboard, without having to bend my wrist around too much. And that way I can keep my thumb on the bass side binding, even high up the neck, swinging on my thumb to get a wide & fast vibrato.
