13:14 That’s for sure a loaded question. In my experience in the military we can go ahead and bump that 2/5’s to 3/5’s or even 4/5’s depending on the day.
i was looking for questions to help me out with math problems dealing with fractions and this video just so happens to show up that the PERFECT TIME!!!!!! I took my PiCAT(28) , took my ASVAB April 19th(18) i retake my ASVAB on May 23rd and i’ve learned so much so far so hopefully i pass!!!!

1:01:00 i’ve been pausing the video to solve problems on my own, but none of my methods match yours and that worries me a little. my mind automatically went to option A because the other options exceed 18 regardless of the extra _c,_ but i forgot how to write an equation to identify the variable. i’ve had teachers who’d use process of elimination to teach math without actually showing how you’d get the answer with no multiple choice. in short, you’re an awesome teacher for actually explaining what you’re doing and i can’t thank you enough for that alone🙏🏻
don’t know if you still need it but just multiply (if you need every answer choice given by 5)and add the answer choice you multiplied by 5 to your first answer if it results in 18 the number you’re looking for then that’s your answer if that makes sense hope this helps

I used ASVAB Tutoring app and scored 65
I failed my Asvab test August 2024. I’ve been out of school back in the early 2000’s. I went in blind and failed horribly. I was down on myself for the past few days. I take the test again September 16th. I still have issues with Algebra. Wish you would post some videos for algebra. I’ve been watching others, but they go so fast I’m left even more confused.
In the 2nd problem, how does he get 24? Also when he get 54/60 how did he get the 6 over 60?
I am wondering the same on 6 over 60 🤔
He subtracted the 60-54 which is 6 left over. I honestly would have gotten this question wrong. 54 is 6x9 60 10x6. I kept getting 9/10. Wish he would have cleared this up.

If 20% is the answer, 15$ - 20% = $12
If we do 17%, we will get closer to $12.50, to be exact, 15$ - 17% = $12.45

47:00 this is the part thats getting me, I was ahead of you in the problem until i got to here. Can you give me a dummy synopsis as to how to multiply there? Why aren't we doing the full 25 into 500? Where is the 2 and the 50 coming from?

For question 2, why did you do 12.50 instead of 15.00? Wouldn’t 15 make it more sense

28:32 i feel like i’m doing everything backwards. for this question, i did 12.50/100=0.125 to find 1% of 12.5, then 2.5/0.125=20

the military question when he got 54/60 how did he get 6/60 that's the part my brain is not understanding?
I passed the first time I took it. I got a 33 on the ASVAB. I failed 88 M AIT, then failed 92 F AIT, then finally passed 92 G AIT. I also failed basic twice until I finally passed at that pt camp. I was in TRADOC for a year y til I finally got to my duty station as PFC because of time in service. I ENDED up becoming the greatest armed forceman who ever lived.

At 19:40 why is the 12 on top the only one being timesed by 2?
The fraction that we are multiplying is 2/5. So because we multiplied the bottom (5) by 12 we also have to multiply the top (2) by 12

Why do you only do the math part of the test, and not all parts of it?
Math never changes! So it’s the quickest way to study and greatly improve your scores without having to study words in a dictionary or learn about mechanics etc
