Awesome video! Just fyi, the big bore kits don’t make it a 300cc. The kit that uses a 72mm piston makes it a true 250cc and the kit that uses the 74mm piston makes it about a 265cc. Still awesome mods to do!
I put the motocult tru250 bbk on my hawk. I ordered chinese 74.5mm kit and it did not fit in the engine case. I cant really compare and contrast between the stock 229cc and 250cc bbk because as soon as I got the bike I tore it down and hopped it up. Anyway, my point is for everyone out there, the 74.5mm kit will not fit the stock hawk.
The kit I got from the alt link he posted to aliexpress is 70mm bore, which when compared with the stock bore (67mm) and stroke (65mm) will give 250cc. 67x65 gives you 230cc and 70x65 gives you 250. What 72mm and 74mm bore kits are you talking about? Edit: checked the motocult tru250kit and it's a 70mm bore.

A 4° advanced timing key and would add the much needed off idle response and torque to compliment the big bore kit and nibbi carburetor. The advanced timing usually introduces a bit more engine heat but the oil cooler would remove that extra heat.
Any updates about the Hawk DLX now that it's 8 months later? I can get one for $1850 delivered and not having to customize is perfect for me since I just want to get on and ride ;)
The only drawback I have with the EFI is down the road how available will the fuel injector controller or ecm be and/or a replacement efi unit in case of failure. With the carbed version there are many carburetors that will work on this bike and the electrical requirements to operate the bike are pretty simple and inexpensive. Wish they offered a carbed model which had the inverted forks as that does seem to be a nice upgrade. No doubt EFI is nice as there is no choke to fool with and altitude changes are adjusted for but on such an simple bike it adds a lot of unneeded complexity. But both bikes are nice, perfect for me would be the modded 300 motor and electrics in the delux bike chassis!

My chinese 150cc engine does 110km/h(70mph) And I was hopping to add a 250cc chinese engine so I was looking for the top speed but I don't get how they are equal to the big bore 300cc
A lot of Chinese dualsports are geared so, so low, and it takes away from a lot of their top speeds. They give them huge rear sprockets, I live in the cascades and I can climb any mountain around me in 3rd gear. That's way too low gearing wise!
My hawk broke down 2 weeks ago. When i try to start i hear clanking and when i kick it i hear something knocking around in the engine. I just did my valves plus it sound like something a look more bigger and dense inside the engine block
