Parsifal is my favorite of all Wagner’s works it takes me somewhere beyond this earthly realm.
The Prelude to Act. 1 of Wagner's "Lohengrin" is equally ethereal, to myself at least.
Listening to this sublime piece on Good Friday 2023.
Yeah, I'm doing catchup work.... today's Saturday. Missed my deadline, but better late than never, right?
One of the most sublime pieces of music ever created! I listen to this every Good Friday to reflect on the cycles of nature and the seasons.
But not about Jesus, and his Death and Resurrection, do you, "Scientist"? It´s the Katias that plunged our civilisation into the tragedy it´s in today!
@@javiergilvidal1558 Cool it, bruh. Expressing yourself that way will only keep you trapped in whatever difficult circumstances you have found yourself in. She seems like a nice girl, and she's capable of appreciating this incomparably beautiful piece of music. There is nothing wrong with reflecting on the cycles of nature and the seasons. If she has not found Christ then maybe she will one of these Good Fridays. Sinners plunged our civilization into the tragedy that it's in today, not just "scientists". Many of those sinners are ostensibly Christians whose hearts are filled with all kinds of evil. Wagner was far from the ideal Christian for that matter, but I think some of his music can definitely help elevate the soul to a higher awareness of what really matters.
@@javiergilvidal1558 You're a misguided moron.
I do the same, bless you. There is a connection with humans and nature in spirit and Wagner chanelled that through his music
Today is Good Friday. 🙂
I find this music very intoxicating. After growing up listening to the blues, folk, rock n roll, psychedelic & protest music this is for me being sent to a whole new stratosphere. Heart warming.
The genius of Wagner's music is reborn in every generation. Just as Wagner's compositions continued to evolve throughout his lifetime, current day musicians and composers also grow into his music and continue to change themselves as they age.
For almost 50 years, it has been my habit to listen to this every Good Friday. Blessed Easter and Passover to all.
54 years for me and it never ceases to amaze me!
Listening right now on Good Friday, April 7, 2023.
Parsifal, for ever my spiritual music!!
Passover… ironic
I've been doing it as well! Not half as long though 😊
Vielen Dank !
One of the best pieces of Music ever written.
The whole opera is divine... as perfect as any Mozart
Marvelous divine music! Powerful and gentle in the same time. It is Wagner, after all!
Genial Music.
This work is beyond any praise - this is simply divine.
This music is love, peace and redemption for all souls. Jaguar Mercury
Bach’s music touches our brain, Mozart’s our hearts and Wagner’s our guts
Yes, Wagner made my father want to throw up. I however loved it
Interesting comment -- but I say that Bach, Mozart, and Wagner (and Beethoven) all touch our brains, hearts, and "guts."
For me it's always good friday...in Germany even more than anywhere else...glad I found this tune today...
This part 3:14-3:47 is perhaps the main reason I listen to this piece over and over again. That portion of this work moves my emotions in an indecipherable way. I adore Richard Wagner and all of his masterworks. But my personal favorite Opera of his vast oeuvre is none other than Parsifal.
Yes, this part describes a sinking into a gloomy mood. It signals the fall into one's own being. Provokes reflection with one's own self. The plucked double basses describe a lingering in the depths, a grounding in one's own forlornness.
I totally agree
Romanticism, how rich...in fact musically those were the days!
The "Good Friday Magic" to me is an example of Wagner's generosity, because he takes a break from the story to show us the sublime beauty and wonder of the cosmos. I think "Parsifal" contains some of the most beautiful music ever written, and "Karfreitagzauber" contains some of the most beautiful music of the entire music drama. Thank you Moltovivace for posting this! You made it possible for us to have a glimpse of the sublime.
real music inspiring from heaven
Or rather an outstanding musical structure created in the mind of a great human artist
Michael Knight great artists always act as channels for little bits of Heaven to poke through down to us here on Earth.
I swear 10:30 was super... intoxicating. It's like the peak of beauty in the form of music
This music is just Amazing and beautiful 👍👍👍
The majestic French Horn in all of it's beauty, in this piece!
What a fine performance in every way. Deeply satisfying. The interplay of winds at around 10:30 is just so moving.
Bits and pieces of the music has been playing in my head every now and then ever since I listened to it.
Listening to this masterpiece on Good Friday 2022.
Here as well in Los Angeles
And in Lisbon.
As well in Londrina Brazil
Just marvelous
Here in Sweden on Good Friday night 2023
Texas as well. Wagner is an air of peace in the storm. Happy Easter.
The foto is a view from Queribus, a Cathar chateau in the Languedoc.
Thank you so much. The Languedoc is my soul’s home.🌹
Mine too
There and Egypt
This simply perfect for the day .
A friend suggested this. I'm glad she did!
Herzlichen Dank ! Gottes reichen Schutz und Segen ! Karfreitag 2020.
Tempo is so critical with Wagner, and Herr Kempe had it nailed.
Nádhera 💎🌹✨☀️.
Worshipful music.
This is really lovely recording of this music
My good friday rituals includes listening in prayer this masterpiece that GOD send to us through a single little man the great Richard Wagner
It's just as sublime when giving full credit to Wagner
I listen to Haydn's Seven Last Works on the Cross
Alexis F no matter what one thinks of the character of the man, how could we not thrill to what he wrote!
I have been doing just that for many years!
Wagner never believed in god
Ahh one of my favorite conductors.
Sublime
Obrigado .
Estou descobrindo e conhecendo Wagner .
Estou adorando . Grato .
Sublime.
Mooi ,Baudet
a truly great performance kempe was one of the great conductors
That's Good Friday MAGIC. Zauber = magic/magick.
"Enchantment"
This is so good.
Every time I hear this, I think how well it matches the scene in Wolfram von Eschenbach's Parzifal.
Überirdisch! Aus welchem Universum saugte Wagner diese Musik
Dank voor de tip Thierry Baudet! Heel mooi!
@@Poetic_Justice1962 🤮 deugmens
Wonderful.
Amazing
🌹😍
Amazing! Where is the picture from?
He definitely didn't think that about Parsifal.
I don't know what his opinion was of the music itself, but he was not a fan of what he perceived its message or underlying philosophy to be.

WAGNER RULES
What is the name of the castle? I think it`s not Mont Segur. I'm not sure.
Can someone please tell me where this photo was taken? Tks.
Dear Francis, I should think it's the medieval castle of Quéribus, one of the Cathars' castles in Southwest France, next to Peyrepertuse. Regards, Wolfgang Volpers
@@Alexvp1211 Tks for coming back to me. One more entry on my bucket list. Best. Francis
Ganz genau. Es ist Quéribus. Süd Franckreich in der nähe von Perpignan
@@lkremer7121 Tks for confirming. Google Translate :>) One of these days. Best. Francis
I thought it was called Good Friday spell...
I think that's a more accurate translation from the German, but it is usually called good Friday music in English

Lindo demais!
