what an epic footage....thank u so much for all of your effort....because of you we the young generation can see the past of our city and culture in color...and i am sure that colour camera is expensive back in the 60s...thank u again for all of your amazing piece of history that u share to us...may god bless u😊

colour still camera already would be out of reach to most of us back then, colour moving picture would have been much more unaffordable!

Welcome to Kedûp,Serian......a small wooden row of Tibûkeng(Tebakang) bazaar, still lays the same till today, except the ground floor become higher with cement concrete incase the river flood again. One of our trading place in the 80s and I live across the int.border from Tibedû/Ntikong. and the Bidayûhic longhouse could be Tahûp of Sei.Robin...Great memories in Serawak I always cherish...till today I still shop in Serian Town for groceries rather than Balaikarangan, because it's nearer...

Is that Serian @ 4:30>5:13? I was a NZ VSA teacher at Serian SS in 1967, and that building and footpath/street layout look very familiar.
I wonder if anybody in those 1960 days advised orang piteh to step down the ladders (to the long houses) backwards? I found it to be a lot safer.

Wild shot of my asking. Might you know my great grandfather? An Andrew Macpherson I believe spent much of hus time in Kapit during his stay there. The account of his death varies slightly but Long Nawang cited. I've watched so many of your videos btw, but I didn't know you were in Sarawak. Cameras should be welcomed anywhere anytime. So too the person wielding them. heehe

See ! How under nutritious they were under the British colony living in poor condotion and primitive. So was Sabah. They should be thankful to the Federated Malay State and Tunku for forming Malaysia which brought them up to civilisation (out of the jungle) and good health, and richness for some smart samaritans.
