Yeah, Alley Cat is one of the first games I played and reviewed here as well. It is so well written that it still works just as good as the day it was written.
@@torgo_ When you do, make sure you enable the tandy sound and pcjr graphics. :) Also, the game runs really well at high clock speeds, but the bit where your cat is attacked by a dog runs too quick, so you need to step down emulation speed to about 400
I meow as a big fan of the cats 🐈🐾 😺👍. Also, i have BAD CAT (CiB, tape) for my Commodore 64 😹👍🕹️. When i saw that game at a finnish 🇫🇮 website somewhere in the early 2020's, i meowed crying of happiness 😹. In fact, i was not the only one to want that game 😹. There was a bidding battle for it, and i won this game for 24€ 😹😺👍🕹️. That game was NOT that easy to find nowhere in Finland 🇫🇮 😹. Graphically, the PC version of BAD CAT meows looking as purrfect as the Commodore 64 Amiga versions 😺👍🕹️. However, the gameplay 🕹️ meows frustrating 😹. A big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.
You might be my only hope. When I was a kid we had a PC built by my uncle. It could print banners on a dot matrix printer and it played one game.. i think the command was dino.exe. I can not find this game. I remember that it was very primitive and was two tone. Any thoughts??
What were you doing in the game? Was it a platformer? I did find one game that had a dino.exe startup, and with this game you are sort of building dinosaurs. I have not reviewed yet, though. www.myabandonware.com/game/dino-sorcerer-vo
Have to agree that I don't really see the cat doing anything that would justify the "bad" title, unless wearing a bandana and sunglasses counts.
Supposedly later in the game, according to the manual, you ride a motorcycle and visit a bar. That _still_ does not qualify as bad, though.
a bit like Alley Cat, another cool dos game
