Just as a quick side note the grober Kurfürst is next to impossible to citadel at 10 km and lower, not even the Yamato’s guns can punch through the steep angle that the turtle back gives... and whenever you hear that concussion sound when you get hit for a lot doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a citadel in fact I believe it occurs when you take 1/5 of your health in one salvo so about 10 to 20 k damage in battleships... also if you’re not sure you can tell when you zoom out and if for example in this video (when spartan gets hit at around 14:40) there were a bunch of 6k damage numbers that popped up meaning it was only pens that he took.
The Grosser Kurfurst is based loosely on the H-41 battleship design in case you were wondering what the ship is supposed to be. It's one of my favorite ships because of its insane size and power, sure I often become a priority target for pretty much every ship on the enemy team but I make them pay for it with blood and tears XD
In regards to the difference between reload rates, there are a few things (historical and ahistorical) which may be part of Wargaming.com's computations. First, the Germans never EVER built a naval rifle larger than 406.4mm (16"). Of those fabled 16" rifles, only 3 were constructed according to OKM design (for the 'H' class battleships). Of those 3, only one had a power rammer (the other two were manually loaded and rammed). Second, the Iowa-class battleships were automated from the magazine all the way to the block; the Yamato and Musashi were partially automated, just as the Germans, requiring the shells and bags be transferred manually from the ready-service magazine to the transfer conveyor belt and then again from the belt to the block. The Germans also used a brass casing final propellant which served the purpose of sealing the breach during the firing.
Well played in the grubby krawfish! What a monster of a ship. I feel like you could be a lot more liberal with that spotter plane since you've got so many.
After a very long period! Of grinding and saving up silver. Today finally became the day, that USS Iowa joined my fleed. Now I just have to rewatch all your content that surrounds Iowa. 22:08 It cost how much for ship service!!! And I forth that Iowa was an expensive girl demanding 175.500$ just for her service.
Im assuming you arent gonna see this and you may already know now, but anyone who does see it and doesnt know why, the American battleship Armor Peircing is heavier than all of the other nations, they have more steel in the nose of the shell and less powder, they have more armor penatrative capabilities but less explosive damage, since they are heavier the automated system has to be beefed up to carry the weight from the lower turret deck and thus moves slower cause the whole system weighs more
I like the Kurfurst, especially with 420 mm guns. I think you might want to bow tank--or at least present some more angle to the enemy--as you continue playing. It's a tank, play it that way.
I'd say gk needs a armor overwork, because you can get crazy amounts of damage on deck and superstructure even when you angle it right. That cant be wanted!
I feel like I made the right choice to go for the yomoto first me and my buddy got ours at the same time and our first time using them we went up agents 3 of the German legendarys and we sank all of them without taking to much damage our selves. So I’m hear to finally see the stats of this ship to see the differences
The Iowa has a longer reload because of the 11% buff to dispersion whereas the Yamato and GK don't have that option so you opt out for the reload speed.
420 mm = 16,53 inches, and, well, the reload might be because its expetimental, it is a paper model afterall, tho, to take a Jingles standpoint, id too would love to see it as a world of tanks map, light tanks scouting in the rigging, artillery at the bow and stern, and mediums battling out at the superstructure, kinda like CoD 1, the Tirpitz map :D

If you want to enjoy Tier 7's and Legendary's. I suggest farming Tier 5 and from your comment. You're doing Japanese BB's so upgrade the Fuso and Takeo Takagi. So before hopping into Tier 7's or Legendary's. Have at least a minimum of 1+mil in credits. The more the better of a cushion you'll have to soften the blow of service cost.
If youre only on fire once you can let it burn. Because battleships dc takes so long to cool down if you put out a single fire then youre likely to be on fire multiple times and take s lot more damage while it is on cooldown.
One thing I've noticed about the Kurfurst is that the firing angles on the rear turrets aren't the best. Getting those back guns involved requires you to expose a fair amount of broadside.
