Massenet is one of my guilty pleasures and I am delighted that Thais has been revived in the last few years. Given his age Journet is superb. The voice is steady without a hint of wobble and completely steady--technique will win out in the end and coupled with artistry ............

Still a basso timbre, but the baritone range poses no challenge for the great singer. This is truly superb!
