I saw Carrie as Fantine. My mum, who's a long-time superfan of Les Miserables, didn't think that anyone could sing 'I dreamed a dream' better than the original. Carrie Hope Fletcher, I kid you not, your spectacular performance made my mum cry from happiness. And I didn't see you as Veronica, so seeing you live with such an iconic song was what I was most excited about the whole day :-) Thank you for being so awesome! And good luck for your next show!

I got weirdly retrospective watching this video. I found your channel just before you were about to leave Les Miserables for the first time. I was in high school then and now I'm about to start my senior year of college! We've both grown so much! I love your videos! Thank you for making them for all these years, Carrie. I was lucky enough to come and see the show last night. It was weird seeing Carrie not playing Eponine, but she made a fantastic Fantine too! The show was amazing, and I think the music from the concert is actually better than the full production. I guess as they have to concentrate less on staging they can focus more on the music.
Also Carrie was so lovely at stage door, such a privilege to meet you yesterday ❤️
Can you explain how it's different to the normal musical version? I still don't really get it 🤔
Tessi M there is less physical set and the staging is different to the full production. They’re all still in costume but most of the time they just sing in to microphones at the front of the stage although there are a few exceptions. There isn’t as much moving around either and the cast sit on the stage on tiered seated for most of the performance.
Also the band is seating up above the stage in view of the audience which is interesting to watch too.

I worked on the film version of Les Mis and it will always have a special place in my heart but I have never seen the stage play. Kinda hoping you go back into the full version cast as I world love to see you perform some of those beautiful songs.

I have been lucky enough to have seen Les Mis twice already, we only planed on going the one time on Saturday 17th, but were walking past the Gielgud as people were going into the theatre for the matinee on Tuesday 20th and my mum said "should we ask the box office if they have any tickets?" and just like that we were watching it again. You are absolutely flawless as Fantine! The entire cast is so perfect, the production is just incredible. xx
I’m so excited to see this because Fantine is my favorite character I’ve ever played and I got interested in musical theatre when I was was 12 by watching Carrie. I’m 18 now and in my senior year so it feels so satisfying to see my idol play my favorite character. Love you Carrie!

Carrie, I saw you in the Les Mis Concert this evening and...oh my goodness. I’m so disappointed I didn’t get to see you afterwards because I really wanted to thank you for such an incredible show. I was so moved, and brought to tears many many times, partly just in awe of it all. And your voice, it’s just so wonderfully beautiful and I think I will always remember that final scene as Fontine appeared to Jean Varjon, just like an angel. I couldn’t help but cry, you did it so so well, and though I’m sure you hear this all the time and must know it by now, I just had to say so too. But really, it is such an amazing show and I will remember it forever. I hope someday I can thank you in person. A lot of emotions took place this evening, and I am so grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I watched the show on Saturday evening! It was honestly the most incredible thing I've ever seen on stage. Everyone was amazing, and the atmosphere in the audience (even at the far back!) was awesome. Thank you so much!
So I just saw you in Les Mis the concert and HOLY GUACAMOLE I was a hot mess the entire time. You were phenomenal, the ensemble were phenomenal, the orchestra were phenomenal. I truly feel blessed to have seen this beautiful production based upon my favourite show. Thank you.

It's been so fun seeing all the different shows you've done since leaving in 2016 but there's something about seeing you in Les Mis that feels so nostalgic and... comforting? We saw the evening performance on this day! You were absolutely amazing, it’s obviously a very emotional role anyway but you brought such a tenderness and we really felt every emotion that Fantine was experiencing.
Of course the rest of the cast are phenomenal as well, I will literally never forget the experience, what a dream to have seen it!

ahhhh listening to the wedding reminded me of being in les mis in high school! i was joly so i also had a little travel to the wings during the wedding so i could come out and sing the end as a lil barricade ghost. so many memories and such a great show to be a part of. wish i could see you as fantine but my life will forever be blessed having seen you as eponine ☺️

I remember going to the Queens (now the Soundheim) and seeing Les Mis for the first time back in 2015 with you and Rob as Marius and Eponine and it is an experience I will never forget! Thanks for making that experience so enjoyable and memorable and I'm so happy that you're having fun with this new role in this beloved show!!
