My company would love to have one of these made into a 16ft parade float for the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans, U.S.A. It would have six hollow drums on both sides to hold riders and a trap door in belly to access the interior of float

Sculpted a highly detailed elephant head in college. I intended to cast it in bronze but I never got it that far. I still have most of the plaster molds in my parents garage. I also have the original foam and plasticine head minus the ears tusks and tip of the trunk. I think I might dig everything out some day when I have more free time and make a resin or fiberglass cast of the sculpture.

How long does it take to build one of these and building it EXTRA EXTRA heavy duty with say 8oz instead of the 6oz you normally use for high traffic areas, and what kind of time frame do you need?
Also, have you done anything with a Christmas theme to it? Thanks.

Apologies for the delayed reply. It probably takes another day or so to lay up an extra 2 oz of glass fibre (however 6 oz is still pretty strong, and rather durable for long term outdoor use. Have a look at some of our other work for some of out christmas projects. We've made moulds for semi 3D reindeer replications, snowy holly tops for phone boxes, a large bobble hat, and christmas signs for a shop display amongst others. Thanks for watching!
