    Man, that is a steal for the quality workmanship, the materials used, & the features. I took my $399 Squier Classic Vibe Tele that I bought about 7 years ago and put a belly carve & an arm cut in it, plus a smugglers Rout because it weighed close to 9lbs. I got 2.5lbs off of it and repainted it, but this guitar has it all already. It took me a month to modify my Classic Vibe. I also might swap out the electronics in it because they’re cheap. The pickups are good Alnico III’s, but the pots & switch are garbage. If this guitar was around back then (7 years ago) I would’ve easily bought it over the Squier.

    I have an Eart E-3S in Purple fade, it's a great looking guitar and played well out of the box.
    The only problem with Eart is that they have realy increased the prices in the last few weeks.
    The E-3S is now $869 about £639 plus Tax and import costs.
    I bought mine via Amazon UK for only £329 about $447 and that included VAT.
    They will start to loose sales at the new prices.
    They are excellent guitars if you avoid the entry level ones, they are similar to Harley Bentons
    and need upgrades and a full setup.
    As for the green tinted pickguards, that would be the fist thing i would change.🙂

    4:28 'Slight chamfer' this is a great feature,
    and eliminating the plate is a plus as well,
    as the plate can often be uncomfortable
    to hit up against when getting to the
    higher fret area quickly. I think set neck
    with even a tad less inset thickness would
    be even better, With guitars in the $200.00
    to $499.00 range, not many of us are
    going to be swapping out necks, so
    set neck would be in order for us.
    4:45 , the 'relief' routed area between
    lower horn and body is a total waste
    of machinery, wood and time, doing
    it on the front does make a bit of
    sense but then not all that necessary,
    a deep carve, depending on the
    guitar model, makes sense, that is
    a feature that is actually useful.

  • @jcd13able
    @jcd13able 2 года назад +3

    They skipped the heel plate because it adds couple of millimeters of thickness to the heel. Smart decision, imo. I never understood the reason for including a heel plate when they also scoop the neck joint to make it smaller.

  • @luckyrocks1
    @luckyrocks1 2 года назад +1

    Nice review Tony! In my opinion, I actually prefer this style switch over my Fender Tele, Top Hat Switch, as it allows for more room between the switch and the volume knob. No need for a new plate that angles the switch, just a great idea and simple fix to an age old problem with Telecasters. So I actually give the switch Top a plus instead of a minus. Also, my nut was cut perfectly so I don't have a problem there. I also love the wheel truss rod adjustment so you have to give it a plus for that. The only thing I give it a minus on is not having locking tuners or at least the vintage style that you can feed the string in the top. I'm also giving mine a solid 8.5! To me the top veneer looks more like a photo than a true veneer which is probably why they can bend it over the forearm cut. BTW, I also own a Suhr, (Pete Thorn Signature), The most perfect neck and stainless steel fretwork I have ever had the honor to experience. And I absolutely think the EART headstock is a little too close to the Suhr design if they wanted to take issue with it.

    I bought one from Amazon and I'm sorry I did... Sent it back 2 days later.... Feedback feedback and more feedback through the cheap pickups.the neck was great beautifully done nice fretwork but the feedback. I caught myself having troubles in the upper frets to cramming my fingers into that little neck.... I'm never going to listen to the reviews again about a guitar from the internet a waste of time

      @@addictedtogear my biggest problem with the guitar was the feedback especially when I put some distortion on it. I was 15 ft from the amp, the amp I was using was a Fender Deluxe was the one 12-inch speaker low volume. So my main complaint was definitely the feedback " cheap pickups " but also I noticed I had to cram my fingers together a little bit more in the upper Registries of the neck... it's quite possible that it was just that particular neck of the guitar however I think Lessons Learned I'm going to watch what I buy off the internet as far as guitars go. I'll probably never do that again, I'll stick with sweet water or Musician's Friends or a music store where I can actually play the guitar and demo it to myself before I purchase it. I have several Epiphone Guitars Music Man guitars and Fender guitars 26 guitars total in my guitar collection.

    These guitars are Fender destroyers and everything in this review is dead on. You get so much more for the money with this brand it's ridiculous and I now have 4 including a Les Paul that puts Gibson to shame. Honestly these are high end guitars by every stretch but you will probably have to do some work to them to get them perfect. Tuners have to go and I have seen a lot of high frets but don't let that deter you as most of the time it's still playable and with a little work you can transform these into amazing playing instruments. It looks and feels like a Suhr because it's !00% modeled after those guitars and I feel lucky to have found out about these.

    With the price jumping $200 in a year, EART introduced themselves as high quality low price. Now, they are intermediate and up against Classic Vibes by Squier. Making a name for themselves in the affordable beginners market and then abandoning that market is a weird way to go. In the affordable range, $200 is a lot. So long, EART, you priced yourself too high before I could even try you.
