This morning I cleaned out our butterfly garden and made room for two sections of coleus plants. I'm taking a hard pass on Redland this year as I rescued 25 vandas and orchids. My cup runneth over. Hey hon your so lucky to have big bag babies at home depot. That's amazing! The one time our lowes got them they were 2 inch pots $7.98 but of course they discounted them so I bought all they had. That's why I have 3 Hawaiian Ruby paradise that don't bloom! 😂 that was 10 years ago so all of them are huge plants now. All have bloomed but Hawaiian Ruby paradise 😂 🤬🤬🤬😂😂 it dives me NUTS! 😂😂 great haul!
Well, the price has gone up, but I still think $18 for a big catt. orchid is totally worth it in my opinion. I hope one day I can learn as much as you know so I can grow them very healthy.
I have at least 4 of these orchid baskets. Ive had them for over 15 years. Ive had everything from orchids, african violets (in the nursery pot) and orchids in them . I have a bromeliad in one now. They last forever! Not one of mine has rotted. Ever! You can use a liner or pot in them if you are worried about rotting.
I have Final blue already but I definitely approve 👍 great find! Also on the more space I would caution a quick tent or enclosed space you will have to be mindfully of sun and airflow. Also if you have concrete it is better but you could also put some cardboard down a trap and lava rock or even some potted or planted bromeliads under the orchids too. The easiest thing to do would probably be to create a hanging space for vands they are more sun tolerant you can get 4 tall wood beams make a square then shape cloth then run some pole or wire and if they are hanging you don’t have to worry about the ground as much. If that makes sense kinda of hard to explain in writing. Sorry for the long rambling but that is my mind for you lol 😂

Reminds me so much of when I talk to my orchids. My husband thinks I’m crazy but you’re proof that we aren’t crazy, we just hear the voices they don’t 😂 love your videos and your videos are full of personality. Love it!
I’m dying laughing here. Trust me you will run out of space before you know it. They grow fast. Specially how you are caring for them. Placing a bunch of the same in one setting gets you a specimen sized orchid in no time. 👍🏼

I buy medium bark & it can be chopped smaller for seedlings. I use secateurs or scissors.

Wow the tag business thats pretty lame. I make ceramic pots n jewels and mounts, last longer than wood baskets which your right will eventually rot.
