Thank you, Rick, for your kind words! Sometimes when I’m out shopping, I have to contain myself or I can be a little too much- if you know what I mean. 😆. Orchids can do that to you! Thank you for watching!
Hi Melissa. Casaplanta is an amazing nursery. I would visit often if I lived I. Miami. So many choices. 👏👏💕💕that Paul Eugene is beautiful. 😍😍😍 the ceramic animal pots are cute. Those phals are also gorgeous so many colors. Thanks for sharing. 👏💕💕
Hi...what a stunning nursery🎉🎉🎉. I love walking around in nurseries they give so much inspiration, and it's relaxing .😊 they have a stunning selection of plants. Thank you for sharing. I'm off to the garden to do weeding. Have a great day 😊
Hi Melissa, Thanks one more time for another video and for giving us the tip about "Casa Planta" - What a beautiful place to visit!!! I knew about them a long time ago, but never before went inside the nursery. I passed by on Thursday and then went back yesterday for some Den Nobiles they had on sale. I also followed in love with the ones they had in Bloom, and of course, I had to get one. I hope one day we meet in person. Thanks for your time and dedication. Saludos!!!! ✨️
Loved the nursery tour. So many varities of orchids and plants and great prices. They had no e Paphs and Phrags. I just went to the local garden center in SE Pennsylvania for 1 plant. 5 other plants jumped in the cart 😊♥️
@@Melissa-loves-orchids since I started growing them in a self watering/ semi hydroponic set up, they started to grow very well! So that’s what I would do. Keep them moist all the time at least! And I would place them on the ground/floor where it is cooler most of the time. Not to much light but nice filtered light. And they do not like to much feed. I hope this helps? If you have any questions please let me know!
Thanks for sharing. I am definitely going to there next Saturday. I need some Latouria Dendrobium and they got it.Looking forward to to do some damage. Thanks again. Beautiful video.❤🙏
In the comments, you ask if Miltoniopsis can thrive indoors in a hot climate. Yes, absolutely! I successfully grow and re-bloom 30+ Miltoniopsis in a hot climate. They are in an un-air-conditioned lower level of my house under LED lights for 13 hours/day with a fan for good air circulation. When the temperature gets 80 degrees and above, in addition to regular watering, I heavily mist the buds and aerial roots with distilled water, since Miltoniopsis have thin leaves and can absorb water through their leaves too. I re-pot them right after purchase into chunky bark at the bottom and all around the older bulbs for air flow to help prevent rot but tiny bark near the new growths at the top of the media to encourage new roots to go down into the media. I re-pot every 9 months to keep media from going bad. I consistently use cal mag, seaweed and fertilizer in distilled water with more frequent watering when it is hot. The MOST important tip I have is that spider mites will take down the tender new growths (and plant's vigor) FAST and thrips will distort blooms, unless I keep up a preventative bug spray program. But it is SO worth it! (BTW, I think the Miltoniopsis photo at 15:05 is of "Maui Mist" instead of "Milton Brown" judging by their colors. Beautiful blooms regardless!) Channels that teach about Miltoniopsis are "Alma del Bosque", "Orchid Saga" and "Hillbilly Orchids". Research is the key and then "guess, test and revise" methods for your individual situation. Seeing them respond is the fun part! Thank you for "cultivating" a new generation of orchid lovers in your classroom and online. It is a lifelong, rewarding, and therapeutic hobby!
Thank You so much for the tips! I am hopeful that if I keep a close eye, I can be successful. I really liked the flower so I wanted to start with her and then if it goes well, then maybe I'll get more.

I need to go 😂❤
Hi Melissa, yes, Casapla ta is a dream store!
One advise, don't buy any Miltonias they are for colder weather. In Miami they will dye 😢
Oh no! Magda, I didn’t know. I hope they don’t die. Maybe I’ll bring it in where it’s not that hot. What do you think?
Blanca had some in her bathroom some time ago for a while but I believe they eventually died 😢
It looks like a great place. I second the recommendation to stay away from Miltonia while living in Florida😩😍
