If we want to make a little bump in history, or at least our name mentioned, we have to be subject to excessive pain, work, luck and most of all, having the determination to go all the way and suffer this. Knowing that its possible it won't add up to nothing. But that little gap of light, that micro percentage that we might just make a change is more than enough to inspire us to get up every morning. And never EVER, letting someone tell us that our dream is impossible. Even if it is. With all that said ur right mate, i also dont get it.

Ian Fink hi! I’m 15 and I’m in a similar situation. Aaron Blaise(creatureartteacher.com) has a free animation course and lots of other courses deeply discounted ( I would recommend the human anatomy course it’s helped me improve a lot) and figure drawing you can do on sites like lineofaction, quickposes and croquis cafe. If you have the app procreate or flipaclip you can make animations on those.
When you want to go there but 1 you're from another country and 2 you don't have any money... Sad. But I love watching these types of videos. A lot. I learn from them a lot and, in a certain way, I see them as classes for myself. Watching what people do, how they do it, taking tips and lessons just by observing meticulously... Interesting. And so cooool!
J. David oof I know it’s crazy expensive. But there’s a lot of discussion going on about how art school got too expensive and there are already really good online alternatives! Maybe look into the online classes from Schoolism and Aaron Blaise. You can basically learn everything there if you are committed to the classes! And about being from a different country, most people in character animation including me are international! So there is a good chance that you would get in anyways! Good luck 😊
@@scribblediary237 Thanks for the tips! I mean, I would try applying but the thing about being international (in my case) is that it is more expensive than someone who's from the u.s. Tuition in general, flying, transportation, living expenses, food, (in some cases esl classes), etc. That's money that my family and I don't have. And the level of experience is waaayyy higher compared to someone from a third-world country (like me, hi :v .) I don't stand a chance compared to people with a GPA of 4.0, who've had AP Classes before, and that have lots of artwork that look like they came out of Pixar. Idk... But I'm definitely going to check Schoolism and online classes from Aaron Blaise (hope their not expensive ;-;. ) Thank you for recommending them! And enjoy Calarts as much as you can. I've known some people who've gone there and they've build so many beautiful memories and lots of experience. 😄😄

Jaaa sorry irgendwann mach ich darüber vielleicht auch noch ein Video aber momentan hab ich meine Kamera daheim gelassen 😂 der Stundenplan ändert sich von semester zu semester, normalerweise hab ich immer so 6 bis 9 Stunden unterricht an einem tag! Dieses Semester hab ich kaum Kurse am morgen sondern eher welche die bis abends gehen was ich persönlich lieber mag weil ich am morgen viel besser an Hausaufgaben oder meinem kleinen filmchen arbeiten kann find ich! Jedes jahr wird erwartet das jeder einen animations Kurzfilm selber macht, der irgendwas zwischen 1 Minute und 7 einhalb Minuten ist und das is unser Haupt Projekt. Meine klassen sind Character Animation, Storyboarden, zwei mal Akt malen, Layout, Visual Development oder Color oder design, Cg, film Workshop und dann immer zwei extra Kurse die nix mit animation zutun haben für meine Note. Je länger man in der schule is desto länger kann man den Stundenplan auch selber erstellen, nur film Workshop und akt malen und character animation hat man immer! Mir macht das so spaß hier! Auch wenn es natürlich irgendwie zeit aufwendig ist immer, is bei dir ja sicher genauso, stört mich das nicht wirklich weil ich jeden tag mehrere Stunden mit meinen Freunden zusammen hocke unf am film arbeite, also auch wenn wir vor allem im zweiten Semester nicht viel "Leben" außerhalb vom Studium haben ist das nicht schlimm, weil alle zusammen im gleichen Boot sitzen. Und wenn ich wie gestern so gaaarkeine Lust mehr auf Bildschirm hab dann gehen wir alle manchmal was essen oder treffen uns alle zusammen und zeichnen auf Papier oder quatschen einfach nur mal so. Die sind mitlerweile echt wie eine zweite Familie für mich. Zum Thema Kultur Schock ist es natürlich voll anders hier, aber ich fang vor allem dieses jahr an Los Angeles richtig zu mögen gerade weil es so komisch und anders is. Icj glaub echt der mensch is anpassungsfähiger als man glaubt. So!! Tut mir leid das war ja eine ewige Antwort! I'm attending a regular university right now and am interested in saving up some money and coming here when i am in my late 20s. how many students are straight out of college and how many were working adults?
I'd say most students went straight out of highschool, mostly with a gap year inbetween, so most people are about 20 years old here as freshmen. But we also have a bunch of students that have been going to college before or working already, so some of my classmates are around 30 as well.

Jenny I mean if you are studying art then sometimes you can talk to the acting teachers and ask if you can take some of their classes. I know some of my animator friends take dance lessons too

A lot of people are unemployed who graduate from art school.There is only one animation school in Turkey just think about.. I feel so bad for myself. Jacob 31363 usually two people in one dorm room, and no the rooms are extra. Check the calarts Website! The normal dorms are called chouinard hall

Ballu maybe try applying for the Experimental Animation program instead of the character animation one. I think it's a bit easier to get in there drawingwise

Jenny I mean if you are studying art then sometimes you can talk to the acting teachers and ask if you can take some of their classes. I know some of my animator friends take dance lessons too

In my country community and the goverment don't value the art and we don't have the ability to work. A lot of people are unemployed who graduate from art school.There is only one animation school in Turkey just think about.. I feel so bad for myself. I'm searching for scholarships but I can't have enough information.
