Julie London wasn't just a woman, she was a force of nature. One of the most naturally sexy women of all time, a true icon. We'll never witness her like again. RIP.

She was superior to Marilyn Monroe in every single way, yet today she's rarely gets mentioned with the great entertainers of all time.

She was an absolute knockout in the '40s. The song "The Boy With The Wistful Eyes" was first heard in the 1941 film "Keep 'Em Flying" which starred Abbott & Costello.

Thanks SO MUCH for sharing this. 3:50, awesomeness! Hahaa! Whether she was pretty or not - the precise intonation and warm, natural tonality of her voice are indisputable... ♡

I love the 1940s short at 7:04. She's just lovely and made up in the style of that decade. And the guy at the desk is none other than Jimmie Dodd, who became the head mousekateer on the Mickey Mouse Club not too many years after. Her voice has such a unique, sexy, warm and soothing quality.

This is a really fine TV documentary with wonderful performances. Hang in to watch the entire show, in four parts.

One of my favorite singers ! Also at around 7:30 mark, Jimmie Dodd from the Mouseketeers show makes an appearance!

Not Claudia Cardinale in Once Upon a Time in the West, nor Raquel Welch in Bandolero!, or Brigitte Bardot in Shalako, or Angie Dickinson in Rio Bravo, but a stunning Julie London is responsible for the hottest scene in a classic Western: in Man of the West, with Gary Cooper, 1958, by Anthony Mann.

it's strange hearing her sing in that old style that was typical in the pre-war years in the short film from the 1940's, it doesn't really sound like her voice wonder if they dubbed her
