    Nice little truck and I am sure it fills a certain niche but that big of a price increase in just 2 years goes to show that these manufacturers just can’t help themselves and their obsessive greed.

      The reason Ford keeps increasing price is simple.
      Until another manufacturer enters this segment with a competitor, Ford is selling into a blue ocean. Once somebody does compete, only then will Ford have to skim the profits.

      40k was about what that use case was worth

    The Maverick became popular and doesn't show sings of slowing sales yet. That, along with the fact that no other manufacturer has offered a serious competitor means Ford can try and raise prices. Will the fools continue to buy or will they say, no, we bought the Marverick because it was an affordable truck and now it's not. My guess is that anyone who can stretch themselves to buy one will do so. People never learn and are never aware of their own involvement in the problems they complain about.

I say give me some Chon Chon….. yesterday I went to test drive 2022 XLT AWD gas engine plus it’s Gold Certified used. I offered $3k less then there asking price they said No. so I left them I ask $3k off a new XLT Gas or Hybrid they said NO keep in mind they have 88 brand new Ford Mavericks in stock. Then he said we have open bank on 2025 model pre- order with $500.00 deposit. I’m surprised they still have open banks for pre-order for 2025 last year pre-order on 2024 Ford Maverick closed after 4 days at this same dealership due to high demand. Well looks like 2025 sales may slow down compared 2023 & 2024 orders. I will just wait and don’t mode buying used Certified or new one once they discounted them. I have until from today through end of the year to purchase one.

    Lot of people here live in la-la land. Compare the price to the 2025 Colorado when it comes out. The 2022 never really was 19,995 because Ford didn't know how well it would sell so they included the hybrid for free instead of the normal $1,500 as a loss leader. They increased the 2022 price quickly. Maybe you should go back 40 years - name any car anymore that can be ordered one option at a time. All of them have options now. The XL is a low profit model, the XLT is the meat and potatoes.

I saw syns 4 system with wirless auto and carplay (which is nice) and regular safety copilot 360. My base 2023 model has the automatic headlights and braking to avoid accidents, not the lane assistance, though. My model year has cc. I order in 22 and got a 23 with cc added to xl model that year but paid 22 prices. So what else is different. I get 3 years of inflation but 30% more. I think Ford switched it target market.

    I think its sad that the price increased. That being said its part of life or economics. Basically majority of things double in price every 10 years. With the point on Maverick's it really didn't go up compared to what they have added as standard equipment. Just one thing that consumers were wanting and voicing was a larger infortainment screen and sync 4. I jave the 2024 just parts not labor is like 3000. This does not include the other options they have added as standard equipment.
    I will also comment on the backup assist. Yes i think everyone should learn to back up a trailer but lots of times its not practical. Example the wife is driving the rig with the kids, while your working but plan to join them on the weekend. I will ask you this. Would you prefer someone learning to back up next to your rig, or would you rather them use backup assist, so they don't hit or scrape you property?

    • @Jason-Samko
      @Jason-Samko  24 дня назад

      All that self driving tech makes people lazy and contributes to lack of development. First thing anyone buying any trailer or baot or camper should do is hit an empty parking lot and spend a hour learning to drive it. It's right of passage. And I've launched a boat atleast 2500 times and never once had anyone hit me. But never once has my wife offered to back the truck up, hook up the boat, get everything prepared and then drive it to the boat ramp, up strap everything, get it all ready and then back it down the boat ramp. But I did make sure when we bought out camper that my wife could drive it incase she ever needed too. Again if your gonna own a trailer learn to drive with a trailer. Same with parallel parking. I made sure my wife and daughter knew how to immediately. Took a few hours to teach them. But made me smile watching my wife parallel park her ram 2500 in downtown Detroit all the times she would come meet me down there for lunch.

      @@Jason-Samko look I was backing implements and hay wagons when I was a kid. I don't assume others had the same circumstances and neither should you. I know many women that hate to back up, let alone with a trailer. Just because of your circumstances or your opinion, doesn't make it correct. I would bet the technology came about because of the demand from the consumer.

    Ford just took away the Maverick’s entire purpose that it was made for in the first place. All this truck has going for it now is its size since not everyone wants or needs a half ton or even at times a mid size truck. Learn how to back up a trailer? How about learn What an eCVT is. It is NOT a CVT. Common mistake that newbies make beause it "sounds" like it is a CVT. You would rather have a Colorado? Great, I would rather have a helicopter but the Maverick gets better gas mileage. 40MPG. Can tow 4000lbs. Can Haul 1500lbs. Rides like a car. Has a 360 camera. Has lane centering . Is more manauverable. etc. etc. And is S15,000 cheaper than similar "real" trucks. No, it cannot compensate for a small p3n1s like your jeep does but it is far more practical:) There is a reason Jeep is going out of business and the Maverick is unobtainium. An BTW, per consumer reports, it is one of the most reliable trucks on the market. Jeep: least reliable truck on the market. But to each his own. Some people buy a truck to haul stuff. Some people buy a truck to pretend that they don't have to call a contractor everytime they might have a need to actually use the bed of their truck. Watch out! He might just show up in a Maverick if he wants make money rather than make a statement about how his 35" tires make him cool.

      @@Jason-Samko true but the 2025 prices will make this pool much smaller. And the point of a maverick was a 20k small truck now it’s almost a 30k small truck so idk. We will have to see what happens with sales next year.

      The particulate filter is all over Europe now and will bring all over here soon too. I hate all this crap they are doing to the vehicles
