@@Rusty.1776 i think he more likely overheated the belt. High revs in high range, under excessive load can glaze the belt. Anytime when mudding or even just thru rough terrain where torque is needed, its best to use low range with CVT systems. Its one of the main reasons i dont like them.

Only problem is the from driver wheele bearing might need replacing. Absolutely no rust. Also, the drain plug is jb welded because I stripped it out

Water in the belt housing. My Yamaha Kodiak 450 was bad about getting water in the belt housing. Have to take the cover off, take the belt off dry it and clean the Mudd off the clutch and from the cover.
The belt is drenched and slipping. Dry it up and clean it out of the mud and you'll be good as long as you didn't smoke te belt with all that slipping lol
ah my bad but you see I don't go mudding too much since my atv is built like a rock crawler soft suspension, high torque and low speed and very soft and high profile tires and it's only 300cm³ so even if it wasn't tuned I still wouldn't since it is a cheap Chinese copy of an cheap Chinese copy
For racing/trails ATV a Yamaha YFZ 450R. For an automatic quad a Polaris sportsman. If you’re looking for a razor then try a Polaris razor depth finder.
Don't get rid of it...I have a 2020 with over 1500 miles on it. We beat the hell out of it and had no issues. These are awesome quads... just as fun and reliable as my Honda rancher.

All automatic atvs have the belt drivin cvt system (except for some honda, but they're no better). He just got the belt wet, drain the belt housing and it's good. It's a small 2wd atv, it's not made to blast through a pond.

This is why i own Honda's!!! NO BELTS!!! At the time i was looking at these but Honda with no belt and floor shift old skool with the Recon and Rancher is the way to go. I own both.

@@damon323 well all of it really depends on your opinion i used to have a grizzly actually it was a 700 and that thing ripped! no break downs and it would go through anything. As i said personal preference
You can just use a chain it's got no slip issues at high torque output. Problem is these cvt drives are usually an excuse to put in parts that aren't meant to take super high torque due to the belt slipping if the user ever pushes the thing too far.
We have two 2018 brute force 300s, great quads, really fun trail riding and they were a great price. They are awesome for beginners. They do require a breakin period. Once you reach that and the first service, they work like a champ.
Yamaha Grizzly 700 would be your best bet! Near indestructible and tons of power and features! I have a 660 and all the buddies always love riding it and it has never let me down!
I have had a Kawasaki Brute Force 750 since 2004. It still runs great and I use it for a lot of things on my 6 acres of land. I did have it act like yours and had to replace the belt.
If its belt driven you got water in the belt box. And I'd recommend a can am outlander 450 or 570 because of the stuff you do you'll need metal racks and if you go above the 570 you get plastic racks
Scott, I recommend a Honda rancher. In my personal experience the toughest bike out there, and we put ours through alot more then you just did your new bike here.

Some brands, like Yamaha, offer a 10yr belt warranty on their CVT.
I was like...... he drowned the CVT clutch.

You've gotten water in the transmission so now your belts can't catch friction. Just find the transmission drain plug and open it up.

Definitely CVT belt housing is full of water. Take the cover off and drain it. Might still have to replace belt though. Been there done that 🤣🤣

Wet belt. Theres a drain cap on the bottom you can pull to drain it. Thats why you see snorkles on mud machines.
