This Truck is incredibly well thought out, totally functional, which can easily be seen. Every bit of space is used very intelligently having more than one purpose for daily use. The colours inside make it very warm, inviting, and peaceful. It's very easy to see why it took as long as it did to build it out, and it's because meticulous attention and thought has gone into every square inch, and it totally shows. This is the kind of home on wheels I would want.
Hope you guys get lots of use out of this. You obviously put a lot of thought and work into it. Every time someone mentions the cost of an Earth Roamer I'm amazed that its so expensive! You did a good job on your truck...especially love the bathroom.
You built what you want and you enjoy the lifestyle you have with it. I happen to think you did an amazingly great job and admire your creativity and passion, but that's just my opinion. :-) Thank you for sharing!
WOW! Stunning and incredibly functional. Great design and use of space. Love, love, LOVE your kitchen set up. We too are picky eaters and I never imagined being able to have so much frig/freezer space... Of course it took a very large electrical system to make that happen, but your priorities are clear. An expensive build, but a fraction of what you would've paid to have someone else build it and it's custom to YOU. Also, if anything breaks, you know how to fix it because you built it! Who can buy a home AND be perpetually on vacation for under $200k? YOU! Outstanding!
Guys Your Build Is Absolutely Gorgeous.. The BEST YET !!! I LOVE ThIS ❤️ 😍... U ROCKED IT N NAILED IT !!!! SAFE TRAVELS ALWAYS... C YA'LL DOWN THE ROAD !!! GOD BLESS YA'LL ❤❤
Really nice build, functional, with a good amount of storage, yet feels open and not cramped. I like the shower and back porch too! Thanks for the tour!
That’s so interesting. When I was a kid we had a truck and a camper that was put into the box. Now they call them Earth roomers. 😂 back then we called it our camper
01:03 2003, we built our ExpeditionVehicle with the mass between the axles, zero overhang. . Some reports suggest your configuration relies on the integrity of the frame rearward of the axle. Some folks suggest mounting the reinforcement panels available through EarthRoamer.
Great utilitarian build! You seem to have plenty of room for your shower. "Our Way to Roam" has a smaller box I believe so built a collapsible shower which takes up 6" when folded. Theirs is built on an older Mercedes diesel military ambulance.
Wow, this is an epic nasa level mad max tiny house on wheels. Exceptional skill and talent. Cody must have an engineer background? Godzilla motor seems fitting. Have never seen anything like this. That paint! Bullet lined, bed liner finish! Almost choked when I heard 17thousand pounds...What is the annual fuel expense? Cheers to this couple for chasing their dreams together. You are blessed to have found each other and to have those mobile skills to finance this incredible lifestyle. Also kudos to the videographer, cinematography and capturing such beauty in the natural world.
thank you so much! That's the beauty of building your own rig, everyone has different priorities / activities / gear to keep in mind through out the process.
I Love it. The only thing that concerns me is if there were an emergency of unwelcome intruders, there is no way to get to the cab without going outside to drive away.
I wish when I was younger their age, people did this. Old people like me did have RVs or motor homes and traveled from rv park to rv park, but they were retired and owned a home or just stayed with the kids or friends when they needed medical stuff or a break from campground or the rv park. They used to buy koa or private campground memberships really inexpensive.
Great build for 175k. Out of my budget and I’m too damn old for all that. But it is a great build overall. Thank you for the fridge and toilet information as my tiny is going to need something small yet efficient and practical. That fridge is great. Especially with the extra freezer below the main one. Im looking up the campo closet toilets.
I know you probably don’t want to add a RV refrigerator vent outside the refrigerator, but they do come in black, so it wouldn’t screw up the aesthetics too much.

Cool build, If it works for them, that's what matters. For anyone balking at the price, you could build this just as well, possibly better, for half the price.
@@largemarge1603 I believe it. Way more affordable to just upgrade a commercial truck. They are almost all built on the same base chassis as consumer pickups.
Actually Christina found our unicorn! Hahaha we wanted the 7.3 Godzilla motor so bad she spent 3 full weeks compiling lists of potential dealerships and I called and called and called. We got lucky and definitely found our unicorn 🙏🏻
Cabover box whit sloped roof would greatly improve the design because the front of the box is like a wall hitting the air and creating a lot of resistance drag making the vehicle consume more fuel especially in speeds of 40-60mph. Almost all small trucks have the cone hood mounted on top of the roof to get sloped roof for less aerodynamic drag in higher speeds. You can easily build something similar with plywood as storage box with sloped roof design between the truck roof and the box and mount it on the storage rack and it will greatly reduce aerodynamic drag and lower fuel consumption.
Beautiful, comfortable build! My only concern is there is no connection from the living space to the driving cab. There have been incidences where it is necessary to drive away quickly without getting outside the cabin space for safety reasons. Probably not a problem unless you are planning on traveling to Mexico.
Thank you! A cab through was not a priority for us, but totally understand your concerns. Our friends who have pass through never use them, and could do without which is how we came to our decision. We are actually in Mexico now for the second time, people are friendlier here than in the US! Haha
