    I've not used the Hollyland, but since your emphasis the bag difference repeatedly, I'd like to offer a different perspective. I actually appreciate the soft-bag style of the Eartec OVER the hard case and see that as a pro on the Eartec side. Why? Portability. We've been able to stash that Eartec bag in all sorts of different cases because it is soft, and the strong build of the actual radios has meant ZERO damage to the radios in the few years we've been using them. Also -- the Eartec bag not only has that divider, but also a snug-closing (via velcro) pouch in the lid which we use to store all our fresh batteries.
    Also worth noting -- it never has taken 3 hours to charge these batteries -- it's almost like magic -- under an hour and it's fully charged.. remarkable!
    So -- it sounds like the main advantage to the Hollyland is that it comes with 4 extra batteries -- but with Eartec batteries being so inexpensive that's not a deal breaker -- just get extra batteries if you want to when you buy the unit.
    Note -- I do own other Hollyland products and DO like what they put out -- just wanted to give some extra points on the Eartec which has been an *incredibly* reliable system for us.

    I can't compare the two, but I own the Eartec set (for live sports production) for more than a year, and I'm totally happy with it, it works great and I never had any issue with it.

      Do you ever use it when production is indoors in a separate room than cameras? Does it work well in that sort of environment through walls/doors?

    • @arielxha1
      @arielxha1 3 месяца назад

      @@JoeDelSenno I do mostly coroporate live streaming and often have to set up the gallery in a separate room from camera crew. I have had great results through hollow non structural walls in modern office environments. They are also fine in AV booths with glass windows in conference rooms.

    Awesome video. The Hollyland looks like the better deal but I’d love to test them both out and see for myself. Thanks for making another video Zephan.
    PS: Love the shirt. :)

    Outstanding review - you literally touched on all the things I was questioning between then two - I'm not a huge fan of all the tech specs, I need to know what it works like in the field. Thank you for that!

      Thanks for watching. I ultimately wound up getting rid of the Eartecs. They always gave me a headache from how they fit on my head. I've been using the Hollylands ever since. I also got Came-TVs recent release and have a newer video showing those off.

      @@zephanmoses That's awesome, I'm literally on your channel right now watching a bunch of older videos. I'm going to check out that Came TV set now. When I decide to pull the trigger, I will definitely click on the link in the description to hopefully get you some kickback. Thank you for taking the time to make these man

      @@NightOwlsMedia appreciate you. I will say came-tv and Hollyland are about the same on my scale of which one is better. I think it ultimately just comes down to preference and price.

    What are your thoughts when comparing both of these units for live concerts and outdoor use?

    • @zephanmoses
      @zephanmoses  Год назад

      They’re both going to struggle unless you have double ear cups and even then the sound levels in the venue can overpower the headsets. But the hollyland doesn’t have double ears only one side so you’d probably need to get the eartecs that have double earpieces.

    Excellent video - I am on the fence trying to decide between those 2 brands. I want to use them for Motorcycle and ATV riding where there will be a lot of background noise and sound - Which of the 2 units would you recommend for their "noise cancelling" ability! Thank you.

    • @zephanmoses
      @zephanmoses  Год назад +1

      They’re about the same. To be honest I don’t feel like it would be noise cancelling enough for motorcycles or atvs. I’m sure there are better solutions designed for louder environments like that.

      @@zephanmoses I appreciate your straight forward honesty. It's a lot of money to spend on something that won't work well for my intended purpose. Looks like I will go back to "surfing" and "searching"! Have a great day!

    Have you had any signal interference during an event? I've used Clear-Com and Gentner systems before (sub rent), but they are cost prohibitive (mostly do events in Hotels and Banquet facilities) - Would love to have either of these as an alternative to renting!

    How about intercom app?

    • @zephanmoses
      @zephanmoses  Год назад

      Then you have to rely on your phone having service or wifi in the location you are in. Many places I stream have neither. But when we've needed to use an app we use Unity because we can have anyone anywhere in the world on it so the producer can be remote and the team can be local on site. That's mostly for bigger projects. But I don't like it because 1) it's really expensive and 2) it requires everyone to have a charged phone and have the app downloaded.
