Love your videos Jeff, thanks for explaining so clearly and with great visual examples.
Thank you, Sensei Jeff. Another great video!
So very useful thank you
Very concise. 👍
Great job breaking that down. Great video.
Appreciate it!
Brilliant! Thanks, Jeff
Thanks and no prob!
Will you please make a backing track for Hell in a Bucket?
wow. was watching this at literally the same time as you
JEFF WILLIAMS, do a lesson on how John Frusciante uses chord inversions in Red Hot Chili Peppers because he uses "Shell Chords 3 triads" like 10ths and spread compound triads.
Jeff, note: ( i made this comment to James ByronGuitar, but wiil post here tho it's not specific to this particular vid of yours, but yeah ) when an instructor's headstock launches into the forward of the right side of the screen, or into the upper right corner, often the body/bout tilting back toward the torso, the fingers are covering the fret/ finger locations e.g. 7:14.
Have suggested to Jack Ruch and others that a straight-on medium shot of horizontal fretbd rt-to-left is preferable. Sometimes they get w/ it and modify, hence we spend less time deciphering vids, using keybd shortcut tools etc.
Nevertheless, very informative. Hopin for more great vids!
Thanks for the feedback. I'm always trying to improve the look of the videos and make them as practical/useful as possible. This was the 1st video where I used a 3rd camera angle and I'm still experimenting with it.
I'd love to check out an example of what you're talking about if you know of one.
Also, here's a pretty good example from Rusty. AND, just noticed, as per something i had been pondering. Notice his torso twisted on his chair to an angle of 45*, hence his axe does the straight/horizontal thing. This as opposed to the natural tendency of an instructor to face the camera at 90*. But most of us right-handeds would sit with the body on our thigh close in to torso/ribs, rt arm resting etc. Opens headstock to move forward some, not parallel to torso-front.

alright, now this is f_cking pissing me off . The Jack Ruch example isn't appearing again. Guess i'll back off & check later.
i checked my Utoob settings for the comment i made w/ the Jack Ruch example, & i got this: "Some activity may not appear yet". Sigh...
"Essential Fretboard Knowledge: Minor key triads and how to use them", from Adrian at " Anyone Can Play Guitar"
Here is an example of the less preferable shot/ angles--but for Adrian's spidery fingers allowing more space between them, hence more visible fretting in spite of the tilted angles:
