If the elgin has the green miyota movement the analogue part can be replaced with parts from an analogue movement. Can't remember the movement numbers but can let you know if needed.
I was hoping the jump minute would work. I have one that does work which was a gift from a friend on a Timex FB page. I've never found one working in the wild
Every time you come across one.... I'm like omg he's still pronouncing Elgin like el'jin 😆 it's a Scottish town name. Like gun with an i instead of a u, Elgin. 🙂👍
@@SAABROSS I have never heard anyone pronounce it the way you are saying. I just listened to an old Elgin advertisement and the pronounce it like j. I think you are incorrect
@@vintagesterlingfinds just this second… I’m just off a live stream listening to William Henderson on his channel “that’s life but not as we know it” he is from Elgin. Have a listen, he will say Elgin soon enough. I can see how you would pronounce it that way because of the bottle of gin being written how it is and pronounced the way it is But Elgin is not pronounced the same as the drink.😂😎👍
@@thomasflynn5366 I may be wrong in regards to the watch brand. But the town Elgin is not pronounced Jin. It was maybe a lost pronunciation over TIME 🤣
@@SAABROSS Keep in mind the Elgin was an American company though. So it would be pronounced as an American would pronounce it. Though I must admit I refuse to say Jaguar the way the British do LOL.
“Made a huge profit”😂
