    Thank you so much for your videos! I don’t have much experience crocheting(just scarves) and I was able to make a hat and mittens for my son, came out so lovely! Your tutorials are very easy to follow even for someone like me with very little experience. Looking forward to crocheting more wonderful things with you)))

      Thank you! :) I think most people who watch me do not have much experience and learn from video tutorials. Professionals I do not think watching me at all. They do their own things and may create patterns themselves. Very nice to hear from you, you made a hat and mittens. I just do not list new videos very often, because I am busy working days, only on Sunday evenings I can try to list something new. If very small things like headband etc, then I can list new video also some other days. I exactly focus to teach beginners, I love to explain small but important things. :) Thanks again!

    I like your videos as you make them easy to follow. I notice your yarn snagged and you just pulled it our and fixed the snag from the hook. It is good to know that this doesn't just happen to me. I am a fairly new crocheter so I thought i was doing something wrong when it snags. I guess it is just that the yarn does that sometimes. Anyway like your videos

    Thank you for showing this beautiful pattern. I am making this hat, but I am not getting the pattern like yours. Are you working in both loops or are you working in back loops only in the alternating HDC and SS?
    Added: After ripping it out and starting over three times, I was finally able to see what I was doing wrong, and now my hat is nearly completed. It’s a lovely hat, and I will make more of these. Thank you for the tutorial.

      I working Slip Stitch, and Hdc both loops. Each round you have to turn, very first mini stitch we skip, then we see bigger stitch and smaller stitch, Into bigger stitch make Slip stitch into smaller stitch make hdc, very last hdc will be into previous round ch 3 space.,Ch 3 turn and repeat the same. Also you can change video speed if from phone press 3 dots and change video speed. You can see slowly how I doing. Join rounds with slip stitch into ch 3 space.

    • @HappyCrochetClub
      @HappyCrochetClub  3 года назад

      Je ne fais pas de sous-titres car ils se traduisent mal et les points ne traduisent pas du tout. Vous devez faire une chaîne de la largeur d'un foulard que vous aimez. plus 1 chaîne. commencer la 2ème chaîne à partir du crochet et faire une maille serrée (ms) dans chaque chaîne. Motif, Ch 1 (ml 1), (ml boucles arrière 20....) ml. Répétez une ligne.
      U.S. - French FRANCAIS
      Chain (ch) - maille en l'air (ml) /maille chaînette - mch
      single crochet (sc) - maille serree (ms)
      back loops - boucles arrière
      turn your work - tourne ton travail
      hdc 2 tog - demi - br 2 (deux ensemble)
      half double crochet (hdc) - demi-bride (demi-br)
      double crochet (dc) - bride (br)
      triple crochet (tr/trc) - double bride (d-br)
      slip stitch (sl st) - maille coulee (mc)

      back post (BP) - double bride en relief arriere

    Your brim looks a bit wider than the rest of your hat. On mine, the the brim is skinnier and the rest gets bigger? Why would this happen?

    • @HappyCrochetClub
      @HappyCrochetClub  3 года назад +1

      Maybe you crocheted tighter exactly for the brim, I do not see there problem, even better! When start hat wear hat become bigger anyway. Everybody crocheting differently, never will be the same. If fit well then ok. I even often use a smaller crochet hook to make some parts smaller.

    Hello, just came across your video tutorial and decided to make said hat.
    I have followed your rib pattern for 29 rows however, I am not counting 60 Single crochet around just 56.
    Where have I gone wrong?
    Pls feedback. TiA
    Your video is easy to follow though. Maybe I have made a mistake along the way.
    I have frogged it several times and restarted.

    • @HappyCrochetClub
      @HappyCrochetClub  2 года назад +1

      Hello, You see 29 ribs yarn right side when you finish all ribs. +1/2 ( each rib 2 stitches) = 29x2 = 58sts + 1/2 rib it is + 1 stitch
      = 59 sts. When you start counting ribs before also you have row it is +1 stitch= 60 sts.

    • @HappyCrochetClub
      @HappyCrochetClub  2 года назад +1

      if hard for you just make this 4 stitches any place, can make in the same stitch 2 stitches ( 2 in 1) or make with 56 sts also no problem, just hat will be 4 stitches smaller.

    • @KCPGW64
      @KCPGW64 2 года назад

      @@HappyCrochetClub thank you kindly for your prompt feedback, much appreciated.
      I went ahead and used the same 56 stitch count as frogged far too many times and yes appears smaller.
      I will attempt the project again using the method fed back to me.
      Thanks again for your calming tutorial 😊🌹

    • @HappyCrochetClub
      @HappyCrochetClub  2 года назад +1

      @@KCPGW64 I am happy to help! You have to make full 29 ribs, + 1 row will be before full rib and 1 row will be after 29 ribs it is + 1 row.

  • @caity518
    @caity518 3 года назад

    For the HDC/Ss rows why are you only going into the back loop for the HDC ? I'm a bit confused :-\

    • @Marylogical
      @Marylogical 2 года назад +2

      If you are talking about the first sets of rows at the start of the video / hat band, going into the back loop makes the rows bob back and forth so one row is to the front and one row sits back, one row sits to the front and one row sets back. It gives the hat band a stretchy ability to fit on one's head. Plus it makes 59/60 rows look like 29 and a half rows. Hope that helps.

    So this took multiple times to get right and I still didnt get it right. Took me hours and was left confused and the pattern didn't look right. I got the 29 tribs right but after slip stitching it just didn't look right so I'm just going to do my own pattern instead. It was just too fast and I couldn't follow
