    Wow I only found you because I bought the Geo dress pattern and am I glad I found you ~ one because I was baffled by the instructions and your demo made it so clear as to how to put it together. Two because you are a woman after my own heart I often adapt patterns to my way of doing things once I get how to make it in the first place. I loved your cardigan hack pardon the pun 😂 I’m now confident to make the dress as a dress and to make it cardigan style too. Brilliant thank you. Stay safe we need you x

    I like the cardigan but the dress was great! And you looked very slim in it! But the fact is that no matter what we look like in a garment - if something isnt "100% us" we don't wear it anyway. So it was very practical of you to cut it :)

    • @StitchlessTV
      @StitchlessTV  5 лет назад

      Well.....that was a very diplomatic response! But you are absolutely right.....When I wear something it is totally about how it makes me feel rather than how it makes me look. Thankyou. Tree X

      @martacz.4794 5 лет назад +1

      Oohhh. I absolutely didnt mean that the cardigan makes you look bad... Hope you didnt understand it that way. :( I'm impressed with how you "altered" it and how you "stayed yourself" in your style. But at the same time I just like the dress pattern ;) and I LOVE your videos.

    So happy with this video...i’ve made the dress before and had a lot of troubles with the side panels....now i’ve seen how you do it, i definitely want to have another go at this pattern! So glad you are inspired to have another go Juud. Obviously if you already know that you want it to be a coat or cardigan, then you will add facing when you are cutting out. I can imagine that you will like some sort of ribbed neckline or collar too....If I was adding a ribbed neckline to the cardigan I would make it happen like how I would apply it to a bomber jacket! Thankyou. Tree X

    Yes it's amazing on you as a cardigan/coat! I'm thinking this could be amazing in boiled wool.....
    For me, I'm thinking a dress with a structured woven front panel and floaty viscose side panels.

    Hi Tree, loved the tutorial (as always). Fabric is gorgeous 😍 prefer it with the frill tbh and as I'm not much of a dress person I love the cardy version. Would it be possible to make it shorter so it's a thigh length jacket / short coat style or would the pockets get in the way meaning I would need to alter the pattern???? Thank youuuuuu 👏🏼😁

    • @StitchlessTV
      @StitchlessTV  5 лет назад

      Oh......Well that's a great idea. I would say yes and if pockets are too long (as they are very deep) you can always lob a bit off the bottom of the pocket sac. Thankyou. Tree X

    Such an interesting dress/cardigan! Did you sew all the seams with a double needle? If so, what is the reason for doing that?

    • @StitchlessTV
      @StitchlessTV  5 лет назад

      Hello, no....I used the overlocker and when I hem it, will use a twin needle because it is a bit stretchy. If I didn't have an overlocker, I would be tempted to use a twin needle for all of it because it creates a good stretch seam and I don't need to change the needle for when I do the hems. Tree X
