I just recently switched to Amish grocery stores for snacks, and I am so thankful I did. We go through snack cakes, chips, and cookies so fast. I was paying $15 for a box of 18 chips for his work every two weeks. Now i spend $4 for the same amount. I got 3 packages of off brand Oreos for $2 as well. Mine usually doesn’t have much else aside from snacks but man does it help in the long run.

We live in Ohio and have many Amish farm stores and bulk stores. The chicken base powder is a must have for us. Bulk flour in Montanan wheat is something our gluten sensitive family members can tolerate because it is old fashioned wheat, not the modified stuff used commercially. Herbs and spices are so much cheaper in bulk there too!
We live in upstate new york and we also have many Amish stores. I shop there quite often. I also have a tip for you. I use the lipton herb and garlic mix on oven roasted potatoes. It's delicious. One of my family's favorites.

Great haul. Don't let the Barilla tortellini stay unused for too long. I am in agreement with you on expiration dates not being a big deal, but these do taste off if they sit too long.

I'm with you 100% on expiration dates...and you would think in a city as big as Atlanta, we would have plenty of salvage stores around, but actually there are very few...most of them are on the south side of town, about 25-30 miles away from where I live...

I may switch to doing discount groceries once a month soon. We don't have Amish groceries, but we do have UGO.
The egg nog syrup is really great. I use it in coffee. The pumpkin pie spice extract is also fabulous. I've used it in coffee as well as baked goods. I found the canned squash online for $2.99 a can, so you got a great deal on that. Krusteaz is local to my state and I just love all their products. I've never seen the pizza crust mix before! What an amazing value you got and such a fun haul.

Great haul! We have an Amish bulk store and a salvage store that are in a town about 75 miles from us. Round trip would be 150 miles, so 5 gallons of gas in my car. Trying to decide if $18 in gas is worth it. What do you think?
