Brandy's vocal performance on this is awesome.
I feel like it's dull compared to the other version. There's no...life in it. Musicals always have so much dynamic in their voices, practically talking in some parts or inserting a laugh into it. This doesn't--not that her voice isn't awesome. Just not my favorite rendition.

There is something about this portion of the song that stands out to me in a way that it never did before when I heard it previously:

For me, I wonder if this lioness even represented her step mother. There are a few words that queued this thought in my mind. Almost like encountering this "lioness" snaps her back to reality. The fact that she said, then she is "glad" to be back in her corner insinuates that's the only place she finds safety. A lot more thoughts flowing in my mind, and perhaps I am wrong, but what are all of your thoughts?
I always reminisce this music when I heard it and finally I found the title of the song again, I feel like I'm a child again mostly the words of the music has a great impact which I want to have a little corner to sing own my own ❤️❤️❤️🥺🥺🥺
