Sun-Go is considered possibly Japan’s first female shredder. Saki and Sun-Go are such close friends that they call each other mother and daughter, which caused some confusion a few years ago when Saki called Sun-Go mother in a tweet or something on Mother’s Day.
Dude!!! I don’t think you understood how epic this performance was, although you were very respectful. So a little background. You know X_Japan from the 80’s. Show-Ya was their female counterpart and first all female heavy rockers (to my knowledge) in Japan. They are the Godmother’s, 🙏 or current Grandmothers of all current female metal bands in Japan. It is an unachievable honor for nearly everyone to play with them, yet all of Nemophilia has had the exceptional honor. Keiko and all the rest are big fans of Nemophila and in this case you get to watch Queen Hazuki and Goddess Saki perform with their hero’s. A total memory for the ages.
I think the name "mother of rock" in Japan can only be attributed to her: Carmen Maki (カルメン・マキ). Music achievements + extremely rock biography. She was born in 1951. Mothers were Japanese, father American of Irish Jewish descent. In 1968, under the influence of a well-seen avant-garde theater performance, she drops out of high school/is expelled. She moved to the artist district. She is spotted by a record company and records her first single (1969). The beautiful song "Sometimes Motherless Child Like" ruclips.net/video/Rr7aARmmjvQ/видео.html was an amazing success, sold over 1 million. With this song, 17-year-old Maki performed at a competition in NHK. She showed up wearing jeans, which women didn't do in those days. Her first 3 albums 1969 - 1970 contain such light, gentle music with folk elements. In 1970, she takes part in a nude session, Some photos are bold (they are on the net). Under the influence of the album, Jenis Joplin changes from a gently singing girl into a racial rock singer, very much like Jenis. In 1971 Records an album with haevy blues progressive Blues Creation. Later, he performs with the progressive hard rock Oz as Carmen Maki & Oz (3 CDs + Live, debut 100,000 LPs sold). At the end of the 1970s, he released a solo hard rock LP, in 1980 as Carmen Maki & LAFF, another hard rock album. Later it is associated with 5X (any associations?). They play hard, early 80's metal. In 1982, they debut (Human Target) and release a great Live X. It's 82, Maki has already had about 14 years of career behind him, including about 12 as a rock, blues, hard rock, metal vocalist. Loudness and Show-Ya are one year old, X (then X Japan) and Seikima II are formed. Mari Hamada will make her debut next year. If anyone still has doubts about who is the mother of all rock in Japan watch this, especially (from the 7th minute) when Maki introduces the band: 5X live ruclips.net/video/aD3UgBx6Bdc/видео.html I think Yoshiki and Toschi were very impressed with 5X, and Yoshiki's playing style is oddly similar to that of Jun Harada (he later played with Mari Hamada). Later, she played at the first Naon Yaon, gave birth to a child and tours with various musicians (Carmen Maki & Oz even did a tour in 2019). In 1993, she obtained Japanese citizenship, but did not reveal what her name was, Carmen Maki is a pseudonym). There were also drugs in her story, a second naked session (Playboy), ... I recommend you translate the article on the Japanese Wikipedia, there is much more information.
@@musicaconqueror5477 Wow, thank you for all the information. I’ve been looking forward to your reply, after the teaser. I’ll click on your links now. EDIT: Thank you again. I hadn’t heard this women previously. The first song was very pretty and it’s probably just the flute (recorder type instrument) that gave me Kill Bill vibes from the fight scene between Uma Thurman and Lucy Lui. The second and longer concert clip was great. I could really hear the Janis Joplin similarity in her vocals. I wish the clips were better quality, but you won’t find that from the technology of the day. She’s rocking a look that reminds of someone that I’m not sure, perhaps Joan Jet? Anyway that was the style and has nothing to do with vocals. I can easily agree with her being called the mother of Japanese Rock. I think the only, “counter point,” you might find is the difference between, “mother,” and “mothers.” Carmen Maki is indeed great, but perhaps some Show-Ya fans may be referring to an all female band, like Band-Maid, Nemophila, Lovebites and not limiting to the vocalist. Please don’t misunderstand me. I liked this introduction to Carmen Maki and she certainly could be considered the mother. Thank you again for the education.
I wouldn't mind a whole metal opera with la creme de la creme from metal Japan, and Show-ya and other legends mixed in !! Go all out Japan, We're ready !!!
SHOW-YA and NEMOPHILA are very close. NEMOPHILA x SHOW-YA encore sixth edition of the two-man Tiger Hole Tour series they did early 2022. SHOW-YA opened their set singing the chorus to LIFE as a tribute. 🌸✨🌠
I love to watch Mittan pounding her drums at 60 like she was half this age! It's incredible that they still perform in their original eighties line-up. Now, I recommand to watch their original songs, thye have a lot of great ones (I let you some suggestions on the other reaction). Thank you for the reaction.
She also has a godmother above her, Mari Hamada 😁. ruclips.net/video/6xw6h57kq2k/видео.html Here is her LIVE performance at the Budokan in 2019, when she turns 60, with her well-known bassist and guitarist. Please take a look.

Not quite so. They also had their mother. It's an amazing story, like a movie script. I will describe it tomorrow.
