- I'm pretty sure the sword is a Fichtel & Sachs Schweinfurt 1915/1916 Bayonet from World War 1, made for World War 1 (assuming because of the time it was made.) Who knows how it got there from Germany!
(P.S. Yes! It's me, Adriel. I'm not dead, and no I'm not cubing much anymore, but my name is still Adriel and I'm still the same person.) :P
bro went from cubing to cutting
So cool Adriel! 🎉
Man so many great cubing RUclipsrs are uploading again!
This is every guys dream
Finding an actual sword or weapon that they can now keep lol

They do lay eggs actually
Great Find! Treasure
if thats concrete then its hardly suprising its rotted concrete stops the damp from escaping. Timbers need to breathe to expel moisture. Look at old tudor houses in England because the timbers can breathe they can last hundreds of years. youll only notice the parts between the timbers have been rendered over and thats with lime not concrete. Just a tip ask any wood speacialist theyll say the same
Bro is back after a 3 year break💀
Depending on how old that house is that bayonet was probably brought back by one of the original owners of the place from either world war I or world war II because during world war II the Germans did start utilizing a lot of old weapons
nice solve
Bro just attacked the german snake and stole his bayonet 😭
So cool!
German bajonet first world war . Its named also ( Butcher bajonet) because thy made a saw in the back for more injuries. Later forbitten by the Convention off Genève.
That a german infantry bayonet worth alot of cash to the right collector same as the toy truck
Definetly a nice Butchers Blade Bayonet, likely a War Trophy someone brought home? Amazing find, congrats!
Thanks!! Yeah, we think so too, maybe?.. 🤔
That's a very old Mauser bayonet
Toy truck is probably worth more than the German bayonet
A hidey hole under a floor board? Looks like Argentinian, these were cheap for sale in the 80s. Now hard to find. Fun way to start a major project.
It`s German
Specificly it's a German WWI 'butcher blade' bayonet. It's called a butcher blade because it follows the pattern of the old butcher knives. If you look at the blade spine near the grip the manufacturer date may be seen as a double didget such as "17" or "16",etc. I collect them.
DON'T sand it. Just rub it with oil to preserve it. Do that to blade, scabbard and saddle soap on the bayonet frogs leather.
