Had many memories with this game. It's sad that people have given up on this game. It had its flaws but it's best to say that it was a flawed masterpiece
BFV had potential however the horrible marketing and attitude from EA ruined it. The "if u dont like what u see , dont buy it" really turned off a lot of people and them continuously making choices despite majority of the community being against it like the TTK systems being changed multiple times. The gunplay in battlefieldv was honestly really really good, i thought that the manual healing and weapon upgrade system was stupid tho
This song reminds me of a book I read. The book is called The Book Thief and it’s about an adopted child in a Munich suburb during the war. The neighbors son comes home after losing several fingers and being shot twice. The son, Michael tells the neighbor, his mom, that Robert, his older brother, died in Stalingrad. Michael was preparing to go home when he found his brother in a makeshift hospital. Robert was blinded by an explosion and had issues hearing. He bled out next to his brother, not knowing if he was there. Michael blames himself for not coming home with Robert. After a few weeks back, he is found standing outside in the road during winter saying “you think this is cold? This is nothing compared to Stalingrad.” It’s then revealed that he isn’t allowing himself to sleep. A while later he is found a block down the street hanging from the roof of a laundromat. He left a letter for his mother that apologized and said he was going to find Robert. The book is narrated by Death. As death carries away his soul, he says he says he killed himself for wanting to live. 11/10 book great read.
If you want a really sad story, their is a book called The Book Thief, and their is also a movie about it. It is about an adopted girl and a friend she makes living in Nazi Germany in WW2. The story is narrated by Death. In the tory he is personified as a sad, gloomy person. This song in particular reminds me of the Neighbor's Son, who comes back after losing his brother and three of his fingers in Stalingrad. He is completely changed, having seen and done unspeakable acts. He laughs at people shivering in the streets during winter, and says the cold is nothing compared to Stalingrad. (Spoiler) He ends up hanging himself, and leaves a note that says he has left to go find his brother.

I can see myself in Norway, it is late, there is the moon upon me and a cold snowstorm, I putted on myself a big coat and I am walking in the snow with my rifle in my hands. I am freezing, I see a campfire but he is really far away, I hope that it is not a German's checkpoint... I walk slowly, and I arrived at the camp, nobody, I am looking around, every corners, every boxes, every houses, but nothing... and on my left side I see a little cabin, I am entering in it and I see a little girl and a teen with a weapon, two sisters, the eldest one is aiming at me. I asks her "Where are the germans?", no answers, "Are you alone here, where are your parents?", the little girl says to me "Monsters killed them", the eldest began talking "All the germans left, they went to the big boat with trucks, I killed one of them but they were too many, we had to hide", "Trucks?" I asks, "Yes, full of water" she says... I understood what was going to happen, I took the two sisters with me and I brang them to a hunter house, mine, I gave them food and water, I said to the youngest "Don't worry, there is no monsters here, you're safe" and I said to the eldest "Keep her safe, if someone comes, try to flee or if you can't use it..." by pointing her pistol. I left them, safe, but I have to stop the germans, they will create an atrocity which will destroy our world. ... I am very bad at scenarios but I love this game 😉

I always wonder what happened to Solveig, did they kill her, just like in Der Letzte Tiger, did Schröder kill Peter or did the Americans kill Schröder?
They leave it up to interpretation. In Battlefield 1, you decide whether or not Blackburn's version of the story was true in Friends in High Places. In Battlefield V the same is for Nordlys and the Last Tiger. Personally I think Solveig was taken prisoner in the former, and Schröder was killed by the Americans and Peter survived in the latter. Whatever you want to happen I guess.

Germany has fallen, our hearts have fallen, we died for a fuher that we believed could lead us to victory, lead us to revenge, but he has now lead us to our end.
what the dev team lacked, in bringing weight to the game the sound team certainly picked up the slack and did it themselves. Our Nordic friends are fiercer fighters than they'd likely ever show themselves to be.
