Going sideways is a shit load of fun. One winter, we flew to Amarillo to drive home to southwest Oklahoma after spending a week in Vegas. Good hour and a half of driving. And we landed right after a big ice storm hit our area. I'm 17 years old, my dad is driving us in the '96 Land Cruiser that was my brother's daily. We're in the middle of Butt Fuck Nowhere, Texas at a stop sign. There probably isn't a soul out on the road for 100 miles. Before he starts moving the car, he turns to the backseat and goes, "Boys, what I'm about to do, you should never try yourselves." Then he cocks the wheel hard left, smashes the gas pedal, slings the wheel back to the right, and the the car turns about a dozen times before he straightens it out. My mom was hollering and grabbing for the oh shit handles the whole time. That was the most fun I have ever had at twelve miles an hour. Good shit. I have neither the skill nor the confidence to send my own shit sideways.
