Some people are put off by Mr. Thile’s movements while he plays. I find them illustrative and even helpful in my understanding and enjoyment of the music.
My gold standard used to be a flawless EMajor Preludio played on classical guitar . I think that i will have to rethink that. How come he didn't receive thunderous applause and shouts of ecstatic appreciation from the audience? Was the audience sedated? Comatose? Buried under rubble? ....smh
Greetings Dave. The audience was very respectful while Chris was playing. Inbetween they gave it their all. The audio is turned down for obvious reasons.
Hi Bruce. It is in fact both Bachs and Béla Bartóks "Sonata in G Minor, 4th Movement." As was mentioned by Chris. Thank you for pointing it out. A great call by you. Best regards.
So liquid. And on an instrument that is so percussive. The expressions and body language show how much he enjoys the music.
Beyond virtuosity. I would kill to hear music the way Thile does.
Jesus! What an amazing performance. All of my nerves are firing, cold chills, and hair standing up!
Incredible talent 😍

A unique man and musician
But someone please clarify - that can only be Bach up to 2:49.
