I was chuckling at the flowers not being allowed in the garden. And then at Chelsea sneaking some yard sauce. I DEFINITELY need to make that recipe! I love all of your patriotic finishes. I think the Beggar's Fourth is the last Beggar chart I need, and after seeing yours I realized I need to get that right away! You both had me laughing through this whole video. I just love you both and how real you are. I understand that frazzled feeling, I appreciate everything that you share with us and that you take the time to share it! That vintage fabric jelly roll is AMAZING! Love that!!
Please don’t stress if you don’t get much stitching done ...honestly just the way you two chat back and forth is the highlight for me! You’re both so funny ...the stitching and finishing is an added bonus! Can’t wait for Saturday :)

I am returning to cross stitch after 36 years when I did a couple of pieces. I really didn't like it then. I went onto quilt knit, crochet, needlepoint and now that I'm retired I've gone cross stitch crazy! I'm lovin it!

Chelsea, your Patriotic Row is finished superbly! The little stars decorating the top of the board is wonderful. You guys are so sweet, taking the girls on a mini vacation for the passage of them being the only two children. Awww, they are so lucky to have you as their mom and grandma.

I tried cross stitch as a child abd hated it. I'm now 66 and trying again and can i say I'm HOOKED. WOOHOO! All my stuff was stolen from my shed so now i have to start over with EVERYTHING cross stitch related. My friends are trying to get me some stuff. At this point i take anything. You guys are hilarious. You made my day as im a widow and family not near. Blessings to y'all.

Squash bugs are the worst! So prehistoric looking. An old farmer at market told me the only way to stay ahead of them is to move your squash plantings to a different part of the garden each year and burn off the area where they were at the end of the season.

Thank you for another great video. When my son and I restored furniture, we made our own chalk paint. There are different ways to make it. One was by adding plaster of Paris mix to water based paint. We would antique it and add a wax cover coat. We still do furniture pieces but not too many as it cuts into my stitching time. Have a wonderful wee

Thanks girls for another inspirational video. Can't wait for the garden video. I Priscilafied my Liberty Lane on to a wreath and it turned out so cute. Starting another frame project today that I got at a thrift store. Sticking a bow on that one. It just goes on and on. Thank you both.

Priscilla, I perennial garden down here in Iowa and in bloom now are my perennial geraniums (mostly sanguinium) are blooming in pinks, light and dark blue and white (good in sunny areas) as are my astilbes (good for partial shade). The daylilies will be starting soon. I've got over sixty varieties. Only some little early yellow varieties are blooming now like 'Penny's Worth" and 'Corky' but hey, they aren't purple :D

OMG I had to stop the video to laugh at Chelsea rubbing her belly all weird! I love watching you two, you remind me of me and my mom.
Don't worry about how much you put in your videos. Love what you do and the project you have. And the ideas. Remember life does get in the way sometimes specially with kids.
For the gal that asked about Disney. I live in Fl and the best months are Jan, Feb & March. Less humid, less heat (can be chilly during these months), less crowds. Do NOT go at spring break, summer or on Christmas Day. Sometimes during these few months they will do check ups & repairs on certain rides too. They normally will have a schedule what rides or attraction will be closed and when.....
I have to say, I LOVED the OMG moment at the end of the at video. Nothing wrong with keeping it real, ladies. You put too much pressure on yourselves otherwise! Have a lovely weekend, Chelsea, enjoy your mini-vacation!
Great video, love the new finishes and the older finish that you showed. I am watching all your videos again with one of my teenage daughters who had her wisdom teeth removed yesterday. She is stitching her first sampler while we watch them. Thank you for sharing! Chelsea, we had a local steakhouse that put very tiny pieces of beets on salads, on top of the dressing.
Hi Girls,Thank you , thank you for your videos, instagram , gardening etc.. It makes my Saturdays. After a 8 year hiatus I have returned to cross stitching. I’m an avid knitter but this has been a wonderful diversion. I’m having a great time. I found Lizzie Kate’s flip it’s .. I had started . Also gave the coffee tea dyeing a try.. It went ok. Anyway, have fun, enjoy the summer, kids, gardens . Last of all . Priscilla I just finished my pots containers today. Yet to mulch.. Supposeld “everyone is behind this year” says the mulch man. It was a long winter here in Central New York. Chelsea, the Instagram post with the girls & their summer reading brought back many fond memories of my little girls summers. ( she’s 25) Take care . J

My grandmother made a red, white and blue quilt out of my grandfathers bull Durham bags...he rolled his own cigarettes...and used beets to dye the red pieces. We're not sure what she used for the blue but possibly grapes or dewberries. Another fun watch!

Please don't stress about videos. I love your weekly videos but if it is too much, don't worry about it. I think everyone would rather have you whenever you feel like making one rather than having you film out of a sense of obligation, get burnt out and quit. You do more in a week that I do in a month - so be kind to yourselves. Thanks for all you do.

Black landscape fabric? Neat? Orderly? WHAAAAAT? My garden style is called "Higgeldy-Piggeldy." LOL I love climbing nasturtiums running through the veggie beds, and I toss handfuls of poppy seeds in amongst everything. Although - my husband spent the morning getting poison ivy out of my raspberry bed...so he might be ready to lay down the law too. I love all your finishes on the barnwood!

Okay, Yard Sauce: Priscilla, is there a variety of tomato that you think makes the best sauce? I heard you say you grow many different varieties. Maybe the secret is mixing up the different ones for that perfect sauce? I am currently waiting (Not so patiently. This is a recurring theme in my life.) for my Brandywines and Cherokees to ripen enough to have a go at Yard Sauce. Can't wait! Have a great week!

I had to rewind and watch your video about 3 times because I was trying to cook supper. My one eye on the laptop screen didn't work so well. I kept running over to the screen to see all your wips and new things. I do enjoy your videos, but don't feel like to have to have lots of progress. Life happens and we can't always stitch as much as we want. If it stops being fun to do the videos, that would be much worse. I know lots of people like the longer videos, but 20 minutes is fine by me.
What's your secret for being so Cheerful & Happy? I need some, ha...Beautiful stitching Ladies..Love that Bent creek pattern...I have many of your patterns..I have a sunflower plant in my perennial garden that is a perennial (Maximillian) I believe....(I have that quilt block pattern too!)Thank you, Blessings & peace
