  • In the second part of the video, I demonstrate how to use Jamovi for structural equation modeling (#SEM) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).

    Thank you for the informative and clear video. May I know if it is possible in Jamovi (interactive) for one of the endogenous or exogenous factors to be an observed variable while the rest remain as latent variables?

    Thank you for your videos. Have you a video about using multigroup analysis factor with SEM?

    Dear Professor Vahid, thank you for sharing this content with us. One quick question: is it possible to perform a moderation analysis via SEM in Jamovi? If so, could you share the syntax on how to do it? Best regards

      You can use Jamovi syntax (codes) to do that. See my videos on this.

    Dear professor, thank you for the vid. Are you aware if jamovi can conduct such analysis with categorical endogenous variable (such as lavaan)?

    It's a great video, Sir! I have these questions.
    Is it possible to use exogenous variables without a latent variable in Jamovi? Like scores? Likewise, for categorical exogenous variables?
    Best regards.

      You can use the syntax of Jamovi to use exogenous variables.

    Dear Professor, we do appreciate your videos. I have two mediator variables which I want to compute for the total indirect effect ( with the two mediators) in model. I've checked the lavaan website you suggested on the video on Jasp but I can't seem to wrap my head around it. Do yo have any other videos I can refer from? I am running the SEM in Jamovi. Many thanks

      I will release a video on using Lavaan later. It will take a while, though.

    Thank you. Could you explain how to insert a control variable affecting the endogenous variable?

    • @VahidAryadoust
      @VahidAryadoust  2 года назад +1

      It will be via moderation / mediation, depending on what control variable means.

    Is there a way where I can tell jamovi in the custom model settings that one variable does not predict another? In my model, jamovi is assuming there is a bidirectional relationship between 2 variables that I do not want it to assume. Would it be a code like: Exogenous 1 ~/ Exogenous 2 ?

      The following may work:
      Exogenous 1 ~ 0* Exogenous 2
