If in a circular work piece there are 8 holes on pcd of 110 on around of a centre bore diameter what will be the in planner rotation First spetial rotation and z Axis will be face and for x and y Axis will be bore diameter what will be in planner rotation?
If there is no need to control the rotation about the z axis for the part you may not need one, but If I am following you correctly you would want the hole pattern to clock correctly in the alignment. Two options I know of would be to do a recall and create a line between two holes, you may need to project the holes to make sure the line is not skewed in the Z. This line would be the planar rotation. The other is if you select one of the holes in the alignment as the planar rotation after you select the center as xy zero it should clock the part. If I mis- read the details on your comment let me know.
I have a question. I have one plane datum -A- and two holes for aligment off set. But, i need measure two cylinder, if not two circle. What i do in this case? When i make aligment with cylinder, my part rotate.

I need to measure the plane and the two cylinders….how can I do to alignment with a Cylinder at Datum C ? the software calypso not apply to make this situation in two cylinders. HI there, we just got a CMM machine and are running Calypso but we have no CAD drawing of the parts we are measuring. We are having a hard time understanding setting up a base alignment from scratch. Ive watched this video a few times but its still not making a lot of sense setting up the alignment for a new part. .Any help?
Without a model requires a different workflow. I will try to setup a video that shows this. My colleague R DEAN ODELL has a channel and he is also a Zeiss user. Check out what videos he has on the zeiss cmm.

Direction of planar line is not critical. If you went from right to left, the planar direction would be -X
If you minimize the default printout window instead of closing them out, they won't keep re-opening.
You can also just stop them from posting to the screen.

It all depends on the drawing requirements
Kyle, if you have two holes use recall and run a 3d line thru both holes.
