She is fun to listen to & i´ m happy to get this interview of her. I´m sure watching HER WORKS hanging on a wall is just breath taking. Hope to see her soon in Hamburg 😘. THX. & well done👏
It's very important for me as an artists to sit for hours and them paint.she has it right! Not knowing is essential for me as an artist .love her interview.
I wonder how much she was guaranteed success by the fact her parents and grandparents were in the business with great political powers in the art world? Many talented painters paint as well and have earned equivalent credentials but just are not promoted as well as this artist has been.
It's often the case, unfortunately. I like her work but certainly she was given the framework, support, and connections to succeed. The art world is closed to us mere peasants.
I am a writer and a painter. I am sick to death with all these look alike abstract paintings which have absolutely nothing to say. Just words, words, words from non-painters. The emperor has no clothes.
She is very talented painter and even if she had the luck of beer from wealthy family doesn't meen she doesnt worth it.and what you consider a good painter probably youre self or very realistic painters is youre thing.i paint my self and i dont care aboute apruval i had to give up painting to manage my financies leaving in a poor country and i know that i live in a country that living as a painter is not possible.i just hate resenting people that talk of hate and yes maby she is not the next picasso but this woman knows how to paint and het paintings are nothing like uninteresting.never level down others to level up youre self its painful for you.she is where she is couse she deserved it.
What's with that first minute of spying on cecily 😂 I love her work but I get the feeling there's a lot of focus being put on her being a beautiful woman (not just in this interview but a few I watched)
@@punkisinthedetails1470 it was five years ago so I can't exactly remember - but it certainly wasn't in regard to her paintings because she's one of my favourite painters. I think she must have been less than inspiring during the interview.
@@idrockers hey Matt thanks so much for replying. Apologies as it was 5 years ago. Sometimes I see my old posts and scratch my head. I agree the interview is lack luster. Nothing sounds terribly personal.
Verbally, Cecily describles the painting process. I love ,"follow where the Painting Suggests" She is very insightful & honest. Thank you

Long live de Kooning
It would be nice to actually see her paintings.
I've said the same things in my exhibition!
Why the annoying timer at the bottom?
She's charming

It may be, but she is very talented indeed, and perhaps having such a background helps bring out and develop talent?

I 100% agree complete verbal bs.
Isn't she gorgeous 😍
Beautiful face, wonderful paintings

She seems very consistent and focused while the work looks very distracted.
Can't hear the interviewer, but that really doesn't matter.
Blalhblahblah
Her work is just ok
Great interview, and I love your work, but for goodness sake comb your hair, Cecily! 😄

I thought that said "Interview with ROFL Laughter" LOL
Me too 😅🤣😅🤣👍
Great comment
Lets see her daddy gave her a head start? Contacts? Middle class? Female? Everything the art world loves...... Pushing nothing but her bank account
If you make things up because of what the paint looks like ,how can it ever look convincing .
One cliche after another.. Love her paintings tho.
The interview is cliched or the work or her comments. Genuine question, not a challenge. Curious to know more / clarify. Thanks Matt !

Just a talking head. Never does show us the art. Maybe it's worthless? We'll never know because it stays hidden.
Go to a bookstore/library? Go to a gallery? Order a catalogue online?
