- Natalie Maria Cole (born February 6, 1950) is an American singer, songwriter and performer. The daughter of Nat King Cole, Cole rose to musical success in the mid-1970s as a R&B artist with the hits "This Will Be", "Inseparable" and "Our Love". After a period of failing sales and performances due to a heavy drug addiction, Cole reemerged as a pop artist with the 1987 album, Everlasting, and her cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Pink Cadillac". In the 1990s, she re-recorded standards by her father, resulting in her biggest success, Unforgettable... with Love, which sold over seven million copies and also won Cole numerous Grammy Awards. She has sold over 30 million records worldwide.

'Natalie grew up in the 'Hancock Park' area of Los Angeles in LA's Mid-Wilshire old Hollywood area, my grandparents' lived nearby on N. Bronson Ave just below Melrose & Capitol Melrose Studios' where her dad, Nat recorded & Sinatra & Peggy Lee, etc... was just around the corner at 5515 Melrose Ave where 'Capitol from 1949- late April 56 leased 2 recording studios, One upstairs & One downstairs in the old KHJ Building... there's so much history on this section of Melrose Ave

The top cream of jazz and studio musicians you call when you put together a blue chip big band for such an event. Just as one example: the drummer is Jeff Hamilton who played with, just to mention a very few, Oscar Peterson, Count Basie, Woody Herman, Ray Brown, Lionel Hampton, Diana Krall and is co-leader of the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra.
