Yeah, the director of Skull island was lazy. He figured he couldn't top the fight from 2005 Kong and didn't even try to come up with interesting fights, other than the last scene. The squid "fight" could have been a lot better.

Great edit. I always thought Kong in Ebirah Horror of the Deep made more sense than Godzilla. Love Godzilla but his prior film fighting King Ghidorah in Monster Zero. Fighting a giant lobster is just a minor speed bump to him finding a place to sleep. Which is basically what he's looking to do the entire movie.
Fun fact: Godzilla wasn’t originally the one who will appear in ebirah its originally kong so Godzilla has some unusual behavior like fighting mothra and simping on girls…
