Gavin Scott That's right, I was heartbroken when the perpetrators walked away with a very shallow punishment. This woman tried so hard getting him justice though.... loved her fight for justice!
Charm S. it's series actually not a movie but you're right, she did manage to get him some justice. She did her best with all she had but sadly the court system is so compromised that the perpetrators didn't get but few years compared to the great loss a mom is going thru and the pain of a teenage boy being left to suffer for many hours in the cold. Brutal!!!!
OMG I just binge-watched the series. What a perfect way to spend 10 hours. I loved it. I wish they made a second season because there is a lot more room to tell. Her acting was incredible...I had no idea who she was but noticed her acting was superb. Regina King also did an excellent job. The first 5 episodes build up for the explosive 5 final episodes. I just loved it. Glued to the TV. She is a great actress. Never knew she was British. Great work.
Not only in the black community but anyone treated like a second class citizen. My lesbian friend was rapped by cops because of who she was, my gay friend rapped by cops because he was gay. It’s a crocked system at times.
I'm telling you right now, no actor holds a candle to these British actors! She's beautiful, talented and an amazing young women, I'm sure this will open many doors for her!
Go girl representing for the British. This series was amazing, I just finished watching it today after starting it yesterday. There were so many moments where I was angry and talking back to the screen lol, emotions were running high. I love when a series or film got me feeling like it's real life
I will be forever hooked on limited series. Her character was just an unprofessional, deliciously mesmerizing mess to watch. I hung on her every line. And for all the other actor/characters, I’m a huge Regina King and Beau Knapp fan and Patrick Murney and Russell Hornsby are just fun to watch at their craft. The writing allowed for flawless acting if you’re good and these guys were excellent. This is up there with O.J. vs The People Cuba Gooding, David Schwimmer (you completely forget all about friends) and John Travolta and Sterling Brown as the rookie lawyer…. This too was yummy. 7 seconds is an awesome binge.
She didnt get nearly enough praise on this for her fantastic performance as this really dynamic and strong yet broken character. She really made me root for and relate to KJ's struggle. I thought she was too pretty for this but she's so talented I forgot about her looks and focused on her character who is a true reluctant beaten down hero. Everyone on the cast was top notch and Regina King reigns supreme but Tbh KJ was my favorite series character. That ovation she got at the end of the series really got me. I am honestly really disappointed the show was cancelled I wanted more.
I just watched the show and I agree, Clare carried it beautifully and deserved an award! The series also deserved a second series since the ending was really disappointing...
I see Regina King and Clare-Hope being Oscar winners like Maryl Streep and Jennifer Lawrence. Talented, smart, and beautiful actresses with such grace and humanity. 🤩❤
How many black Brits have come to America and kicked ass? I might move to England for acting classes. Superb is the only word needed to describe these artist from across the pond
Oh my she's an AMAZING actress and beautiful too! She nailed it as a prosecutor! ♥️♥️ I was absolutely glued to this movie series in its entirety along with her acting skills! I'm awaiting to see a lot more in the future from her 👏👏. --British actors are known for altering their accent for American roles... Hugh Laurie is another that curve this.
First of all, fantastic interview! What an intelligent, articulate individual. Listening to her impressions of our legal system as a British citizen was extremely interesting. I’m about halfway through the first episode, and I can already tell it’s gonna be a keeper. I’m loving everything about it, especially Clare-Hope and the esteemed Regina King. Can’t wait to get lost in this one. Also, I have to say how beautiful this woman is. Wow!
Of course this amazing show was cancelled! I just finished the season and it was great...but it was too honest, raw and timely for Netflix...smh! She’s an amazing actress! Go girl! 👏🏾🙌🏾
I just finished watching this and as an Australian I am disgusted by how black Americans are treated. Its so wrong. This series was amazing i was praying for proper justice at the end though. I was in tears at the injustice. David Lyons who plays Mike Diangelo is Australian. Our justice system is very different here in Australia than the US. We really don't have a racial divide like America. It seems the UK is the same. The arraignment thing and bail thing is crazy in the US we definitely don't have that in Australia
Carrie Bizz really!!!!!!! Coming from an Australian What a cheek I guess it’s fortunate and convenient not to look back at your history in this regard.... jeez
I was intrigued by the trailer and started to watch the entire season. I enjoyed every episode until the ending of ep10. Left me hanging but in the same token am hoping season 2 will pick up from where they left off.
What I really like about the show is not racial injustice or other cliche themes. I feel the black families portray are real and not just the typical Hollywood version. I am not black so I think it gives me different perspectives on black family lives.
I never would have allowed wardrobe to give me that ugly F’d up wig. Black women get there hair done. That capless wig was identifible done in poor taste even for her character.
I think she's annoyed she gets asked about race so much in the US. It makes her feel she is defined by her race before her abilities. You don't get asked about it in the UK. Only very rarely when there's big movements like BLM in the news.
Wow. As if Britain's system is so perfect. I am continually shocked at how they refuse to seriously punish perpetrators of some of the most heinous offences. And I am especially offended because in my eyes, far too many foreign actors are coming over to the US and taking jobs from deserving American actors; yet the Americans cannot do the same because of these countries regulations. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!
I think a more interesting conversation would be to discuss what is it the British actors bring to a role that is different to an American? from Christian Bale to Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton...
Bad tools make a bad job. These 'foreign' actors are just the best men and women for that particular job, they are not taking jobs away, they simply out-act their peers. You sound prejudiced towards Brits, to be honest.

Never once thought she was a Brit! Her British accent didn't slip at all. She did an excellent job in the show getting justice for Brenton Butler.
There was no justice
Gavin Scott That's right, I was heartbroken when the perpetrators walked away with a very shallow punishment. This woman tried so hard getting him justice though.... loved her fight for justice!
Savithri Lovett it was a nice movie she gave justice for Brenton butler

I ve completed the entire series and it was emotional, intense, real, and a must see for racial awareness in the black community.
Elizabeth Asikpo it’s so sad I got to the bit where the cops kill Nadeen then my Netflix got cancelled😭😭
Nihal Muniah your disgusting
Elizabeth Asikpo x

@@taylortlat2214 omg really?
I'm telling you right now, no actor holds a candle to these British actors! She's beautiful, talented and an amazing young women, I'm sure this will open many doors for her!
What does that even mean? You have to be British to be a good actor? To be beautiful? Stop
Then u have bad ears
This show was one of the best I've seen. I didn't even realize she had an accent. She did an excellent job acting in this movie and she is beautiful!
Excellent show. Dang Netflix

I Agree I Believe Ashley was more desevering of Emmy than Regina!
I just watched the show and I agree, Clare carried it beautifully and deserved an award! The series also deserved a second series since the ending was really disappointing...
This show was really really really good!!! She deserve to get more great roles like that. She's great.
omg she is beautiful and an amazing actress

I wish there was a season 2 :((

Incredible show, brilliant cast all round with a powerful message. It's a shame I've finished the whole series now!
First of all, fantastic interview! What an intelligent, articulate individual. Listening to her impressions of our legal system as a British citizen was extremely interesting. Absolutely loved it! And her- actually each and every character was spectacular. Binged watching it this Saturday- watched it all! What a journey...
Just binge watched Seven Seconds and I know I'm very late but wow Clare-Hope was brilliant and the show was soooo goodt OMG
she's very attractive and a talented actor. Good for her
Of course this amazing show was cancelled! I just finished the season and it was great...but it was too honest, raw and timely for Netflix...smh! She’s an amazing actress! Go girl! 👏🏾🙌🏾
She was so so good but when you look back at it you realize the high level of talent of the entire cast, A to Z
didnt know that shes british ...she did a great job in 7 seconds ..class act
So many unanswered questions to this series. Just watched it and I’m so annoyed with how it all just stopped and that was that.
I always hated that statue outside of so many court buildings. The blindfold covers her eyes. But she peeks and winks underneath.
thurm101 Yea I would say the same! Justice compromised!!!!
What the?? I never thought in a million years she was a Brit. Very good actress. Very good.
such a heartbreaking show but what a brilliant performance by the cast

Great show and she did AMAZING in it. The cast was fantastic. Hate that the show was cancelled. Ugh.
Just watched the series, very emotional and great but they should do and season
She's so gorgeous. I watch 7 Seconds just for her.
Phenomenal Actress!
I couldn't watch it I WAS LITERALLY ABOUT TO PUNCH MY TV!
I was intrigued by the trailer and started to watch the entire season. I enjoyed every episode until the ending of ep10. Left me hanging but in the same token am hoping season 2 will pick up from where they left off.
I’m now her biggest fan
That season finale though !
I am watching the show in 2020 October
What I really like about the show is not racial injustice or other cliche themes. I feel the black families portray are real and not just the typical Hollywood version. I am not black so I think it gives me different perspectives on black family lives.
❤💛💚 Beatifully Talented Sister ❤💛💚
Inteligente, y hermosa mujer.
They killed Nadine#🤫🤣
I knew she was a London native
Could potentially see her as Storm in the MCU.
Wow she is a brit. I would never have known. Great series but the last episode :(
Those who know, know EXACTLY why this got cancelled.
Still relevant.
She's gorg
On episode 6, going to watch until I hear a spoiler, lol
Anyone watch Top Boy? That's little Tasha's mum - Sully's ex
Her lips or to die for 🥹😍
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Seven Seconds. I wasn’t a fan of her acting though. She irked me throughout.
Nyctogal that's the character not her acting. She is a great actress
Great actress, but her character was the absolute worst.
I never would have allowed wardrobe to give me that ugly F’d up wig. Black women get there hair done. That capless wig was identifible done in poor taste even for her character.
Just don’t commit any crimes….
I enjoy her acting deeply, however in all her interviews she always seems highly-irritated. 😂🤣😂🤣
I think she's annoyed she gets asked about race so much in the US. It makes her feel she is defined by her race before her abilities. You don't get asked about it in the UK. Only very rarely when there's big movements like BLM in the news.
Beautiful lady but can't act. Hopefully she will get better
She was the worst from the cast

Sarah Jane exactly
D W there are many american actors that have played brits to South Africans. Do you have that same energy for Americans playing foreigners?
British actors are simply more classically trained in their art, versatile and brilliant!
aSHITey😧
Faladod beyond childish And unfunny 🤦🏾♀️
