what a great film - from the time I was born we went to Blue Mt Lake - we camped on that little island with a few pine trees and lots of rock - we had a pup tent - We spent a week there - fished down the chain of lakes - this brought back so many memories - as I am almost 80 now - My folks took me out fishing when I was 6 mo old - My Dad rigged up a kind af conastoa wagon type awning and the sun reflected off the water and they had to stay another week because I was so sunburned that they didn't want my grandparents to see me - But I do have great memories of when I was older - We eventually bought a place on Upper Sarnac - Bears in dumps etc -
This has been really fascinating to watch. We went to the Hedges for the first time last year, loved it, and are going again this summer. It's funny how little things have changed in some ways. Thank you for posting this.
This is a priceless bit of video. We got back from The Hedges yesterday. How long would guests stay back then once they'd made what have to have been the much longer trip at the time? Suggestion: Make. DVD of this and send it to the current owners of The Hedges with the understanding that it belongs to the property rather than to them.
