Yes Ted the more u are in the streets u are likely to use drug problems. But it’s at a point now where many of those suffering with addiction don’t want to be housed. They don’t want to have to follow your rules or expectations. Whats the outreach plan?
It's called jail and court ordered treatment. Thats the only thing that will work with these addicts.. These city leaders just keep enabling them. Their dillisional.

There is no definitive plan in you your "new plans " addressing homelessness. Two years housing is only temporary housing. Resources for mental health and chemical dependency treatment centers need be at the front. Also,job training need to be available to help the homeless become more self sufficient and contribute to helping others in need by their income taxes aiding others traveling down the homelessness paths. Afforbable housing yes, maybe dormitories with central kitchen/dining rooms. Volunteer chefs and volunteer server can give their time. Homeless individuals to be part of the team. Learning cooking skills, proper nutrition meal planning, setting up and cleaning up after meals. Of course this is only a grain of sand in addressing the homelessness way of life as it is today. Measure 110 needs to be rescinded until the proper infrastructure is solid inplace . Also, our local creeks are the new untreated waiste facilities and needles deposits post use. Big health issues that needs addressing for health reason and safety. Bring back accountability and participation by the receivers and givers. Self dignity is imperative to be apart if the healing of aiding the chronic homelessness issues. ❤
Rebuild the empty buildings, the ones with concrete as foundation I know it sucks, yet if you at least “have controlled space for usage” maybe they’ll give a fuck about themselves enough to walk into recovery and create one huge building for homeless one with women and children only one sex offenders only one felony area and those who don’t have rap sheets needs to feel safe too. I only have ideas yet I rarely know who to share with except here. If you chose my idea may I have help with a job and maybe a house 4bd no rent lol that my dream wish, still climbing to that goal not giving up.

People are dieing in miserable conditions so these Oregon politicians can have a job and investment opportunities. Their day of judgement is coming.
