Good show Barnaby, we are going to need Werner whether or not the moaners like it, Ange's system as we've seen is energy sapping over the course of a season, he's still a decent player who can make a significant contribution even if he's not scoring goals, Mikey Moore's day will come eventually and Sonny can't play every game. We should keep giving him the ball in behind defenders for the cutbacks. Deki has found his place and he can get better, he can keep the ball like Moussa Dembele, he can wrongfoot defenders like Chris Waddle did and opponents bounce off him like they did with Graham Roberts, not a bad combination of attributes to have.

Nice show Barnaby. The sending off was certainly justified. The challenge was reckless because it was out of control. Because the lunge was deliberate, and definitely made after the slip, and the way Madison fell could have meant a serious injury. If that had been the case, no complaints/moaning could have even been entertained.
    Martinez has no excuse whatsoever.
Also I completely agree with you about Timo. He has tons of energy, he works tirelessly, he makes space and is a threat that our opponents can't ignore. I think it is only a matter of time until he scores. He wouldn't be on the pitch if Ange didn't value his contribution and commitment. I think he needs to hit the ball as hard as he can on target if he is shooting; that way any rebounds if he doesn't score, could fall to him or his teammates. COYS.

I watched the game twice and Timo Werner is just not good enough for this team. His touch often gave the ball away, his passes in key moments were often off the mark, his decision making on the ball was abysmal and he singlehandedly undermined the team’s dominance a number of times and gave United key chances on the counter. With rose tinted glasses you can say he’s alright and he stretches the pitch well, but whether it’s lack of confidence or recent playtime with the team he stuck out like a sore thumb in our lineup last night. I’m hoping he can up his level for this season and learn the system better, but besides a few runs in on goal yesterday he was really poor.
