My first "big" guitar was a Solar. A1.8C. And i just love everything about it. I feel like ive been learning way better with it and as its been challenging me damn well, and yet at the same time a lot stuff simply goes easier/smoother for me. It just feels right. Im just in love with it. And Ola himself also is super inspirational for every guitarist/musician on their way up. You too, honestly, with all your backstory, hekin admirable
I know Ola thinks you kick ass. Maybe you can do a Collab with him and design a great guitar. I realise as you not in a Platinum selling band, it won't be a signature guitar...But he would Totally work with you to create you ideal guitar for sure
Literally the only problem with solar guitar is that I wish some of their models that have really cool features (extended range, multiscale, sustaniac neck pickup, FR bridges, etc.) would come in all 6, 7, and 8 strings and that they’d come in an incredible variety of colours. Mixing and matching the coolest features together would make the coolest solar guitars ever.
I went to Hellfest this past weekend and the amount of professional bands with Solar guitar was huge !!!! If there's as many professionnal musiciens using them it's because they are good.
I today recieved my 11th Solar guitar, it is a magnificent instrument to say the least. Got both from the 1 and 2 series, the feel is exactly the same in all of them in terms of build quality which I love, the difference is just how ''decked'' out the specs are. So it never feels bad to pick up the ''cheaper'' guitar cause they're all kickass! Haven't had a single QC issue, eveything has been perfect out of the box ready to play. No cracked fretboards either, and I got my first one in 2019. If you're on the fence about getting one, just do it. You won't regret it!
If you don’t mind me asking, how long did it take to receive your guitars from Solar? Just ordered my first Solar last week but haven’t heard anything since order was received. I ordered directly from Solar by the way.
@@vagueless521 It took mine 5 days to get here in wisconsin. I did order a guitar that was in stock and not a pre order. You'll be very pleased they are worth the wait.
I have two solars. Here in Brazil good quality instruments are very very expensive. But solar local distributor somehow has reasonably prices. For example, solar costs 20 or 30% less than LTD with similar especs. Anyway, I love my S1.7pb and A1.6c both with evertune. Insanely beautiful guitars and badass sounding!
Got my first Solar. Got a 7 string evertune. The guitar is flawless and I love the Evertune so much. Got the regular Solar pickups and they sound brutal.
Awesome man! I got the cheaper 7 string with the fixed bridge how is the the string hight on the evertune I feel like mine is a bit high for the fixed bridge but I don’t know if it’s normal any ways I love it and it definitely sounds brutal AF 🤘🤘🤘
@@2hiptom Mine came out of the box with almost perfect action but I live in a humid climate and the neck has moved slightly in the last few weeks. Happens with every guitar here in Florida. A quick setup and some fresh strings though and it's back to perfect. Glad yours sounds brutal too. My whole band was really amazed at how this thing sounds.
I own two Solar guitars and I love them. I have a Type V & G style. I have an old Gibson 67 V, a Jackson V, and a few other guitars... but I seem to gravitate towards the Solar Guitars the most. I plan on picking us a 2nd Solar Type V soon.
Shit I'm 43 man and have had all kinds of guitars but as soon as I seen these Solars I was like yeah I'm getting me one for sure. Plus I really dig everything about Ola Englund.
I hope to see a Jazzmaster/JM or whatever shape in the future. If they do that with baritone scale and a black blast/ open pour I'll likely get it without a second thought. Though the T shape version of that they have it awesome.
Some of the best looking guitars on the market the last 2-3 years are Solar. The design, the colours, finishes, specs and price are just unbeatable if you ask me. When I grab my Solar I get this instant "play fast, tight and loud" vibe.
Just downloaded your album. Sounds sick man. Wish I could do what you do. What a talent. Got a few years of not many more before I sound anyway shape or form good at guitar such as yourself. Cheers 🍻.
I've got a solar S.1 something or another. Series 1 with the evertune, stainless frets, etc. It's my go to guitar for tracking 6 string rhythm guitars.
Thats like what i have. I have the solar e1.6frlb(an explorer with the dime slime). The playability is astonishing. On paper its my cheapest guitar. I got it basically at the same time as a 2017 les paul faded HP and it plays just as well. SS frets cant be beat!
Wish they can make some of their stuff in Korea like LTD and schector. A lot of stuff that came from that Indonesian guitar shop have a lot of Quality control issues. Luckily mine didn't have those issues but others have
What scares me the most is that Solar decided to ignore it and never comunicate on that... If they where transparent on that it would have been better. I'm in the market for a 7s and there is a lot of Solar ones that I want but because of the QC issues I think I will go with another brand !
@@Lenser Ola's channel is NOT a business channel, and funnily enough, he NEVER talks business on it, and won't ever do it. And how the hell do you know Solar "never addresses QC issues" ? That's rubbish, Too many people spreading rumors

I have 2 Solars and LOVE them both... My S1.6FRBLB has peeling in the logo on the headstock (shouldn't happen) but I love it. And my A2.6FB Baritone is completely flawless, so don't think a higher tier increases the quality, in your decision on purchasing. I actually play the 2 series as my go to guitar... No cracked fretboards, in a basement apartment which go from hot humid summers to EXTREME cold dry winters. I would still buy another one. My friends haven't had any QC issues so far and those that don't own Solar always mention how well it feels after playing one.
Whatever set you decide on, just be mindful that when you swap them out, the resell value of the instrument will go down should you ever decide to sell or trade it in.
I have played several and have seen very few QC issues. And the few i seen were minor. Dust in the pick up cavity ect. Nothing really notable. Nothing that effects the playability or actually quality of craftsmanship. If only i could say the same for Gibson...
Yes there was a time when they had minor issues with fretboards cracking due to improper drying. But from what I've heard that issue has been addressed. It was a time during Covid and some QC issues did get through due to restrictions. I wouldn't think twice. I have had my Solar for 3 years no issues yet. I can't say that about my Gibson. Love my Solar. Pull the trigger there awesome.
The two worst decisions I've ever made with my money has been buying Solars, then taking a loss by selling it because it was junk....and then buying another because I wanted to give them a second chance....NOPE. Never again.
You made it sound like Ola had nothing to do with music or guitars and worked as an accountant and then suddenly started RUclips and his own guitar brand.
Solar is great, it's the "Solar fanboys" that svcks cucumber, to the point you don't wanna be associated with them so you'll end up selling your Solar. And don't try to "start" a guitar brand, you'd be competing with Ola, you should be complimenting instead: make pedals, or amps instead.
