James Bond also has a dry sense of humor and a confidence about getting jobs done, similarly to 47. They're not the same character by any stretch, but the gameplay is perfectly suited for both, as are many other aesthetics.

If the gameplay is a hitman reskin but - With a dialogue wheel - an inner map for sandboxes, and an outer map for vehicle chases - gambling (can probably tie it with the other missions. Beginning a new mission, you have a savings account you can use to buy new suits, cars, weapons, etc (gadgets are free of course, Q made them for you). Bribe, buy or gamble and at the end of the mission, that cash is carried over) - seducing the girl - choosing the suit I think we can call it a day. Shoot, talk, ghost or walk your way in, and drive your way out.

The whole game has the formula really. Like I think its safe to say every level has some sort of Bond influence. Like its always been there but WOA just embraced that. Like they proved they can do giant fancy parties where you show up in a tux to blend in, listen to the crowd and find stuff out about your mission,, look cool while you do it. Travel to a tropical island to infiltrate a secret underground layer, just so much of it makes sense now and its almost too good to be true. Like my honest theory of the development of project 007 is they were perfecting their Hitman engine so that they could make the perfect Bond game

I can't either. I really liked Blood Stone. Thinking about digging up my 360 and gving it a spin actually. But yeah this project is shaping up to be the definutive 007 game imo. Like its just too good of a match. Its also just the perfect way for IO to take a break from Hitman and do something that's different but still kind of the same. Im also commending ION for this. Like they could have just stuck to letting EA or Activision publish their games and we could have gotten another COD clone that tries to fancy itself as a successor to Goldeneye64. But instead they picked an independent company thats been doing Bond esche stealth games for 20 years

If you've had the chance to play a Hitman game in the past four months, you're probably now aware that IOI are the safest pair of hands in the industry for the Bond licence.
EoE was like an actual Bond flick, but Nightfire really wasn't anything special storywise. It was good for a video game at the time, but it's pretty barebones by today's standards.

Hell yeah!! James Bond was the exact vibe i got from Hitman season 1. Those cutscenes and the way story unfolded felt like a spy story. I'm so glad that we're actually getting a spy game from a studio that is literally the best fit for the genre.

Would be cool to play missions from some of the bond films throughout the franchise, but not like 007 Legends. Wasn't a fan of that games story and graphics.
I don't think they will be able to use actors' faces without their consent, but I am sure they will give us all the classic Bond gadgets (maybe cars as well, if they include driving sections) so that's something.
I'm so stoked! My fave ones so far have been GoldenEye, Nighfire and Bloodstone.. Bloodstone was by far the best amongst the newer 007 games Hopefully this'll knock it out of the park...!

Story should be something new but still stay true to the franchise. 3. Inclusion of classic villains like Oddjob, Blofeld, Jaws, Goldfinger, Alec Trevylan etc for multiplayer mode and story/side missions. 4. Exclusive Sean Connery & Roger Moore centric movie missions to honor their memories/pay tribute. 5. Cross platform online multiplayer/deathmatch mode. 6. Vehicular levels. 7. Ability to incorporate unique and grounded gadgets in combat/stealth. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this game come together. Something tells me this one's gonna be special.

Watch the hitman documentary on the noclip yt channel. There was crunch during the development for absolution but there were management changes within io during the development of the reboot leading to a better work life balance for the devs. I think this change in the planning and development of their games is evident in the consistency of the hitman trilogy so I don't think this project will end up like cyberpunk

Hitman are more James Bond than James Bond movies. They are also more Assassins Creed than Assassins Creed games.

EA made some of the best Bond Games though. It was Activision that made the disastrous 007 Legends.

The way they handled the paris and Ark Society levels I am confident they can pull this quite well
They do really good espionage plots to tie the targets to their locations too. I think their writers could come up with a pretty good bond story.

Watch the hitman documentary on the noclip yt channel. There was crunch during the development for absolution but there were management changes within io during the development of the reboot leading to a better work life balance for the devs. I think this change in the planning and development of their games is evident in the consistency of the hitman trilogy so I don't think this project will end up like cyberpunk
