Masterpiece indeed, but underrated ? It's truly become part of the standard repertoire, now. Could you believe it's the opera I've seen the most productions of, all over Europe, in the last 20 years (including this one, at the Berlin Komische Oper) ?
Die Tote Stadt is a true masterpiece that deserves to be in the repertoire of every opera company in the world.

Mitlerweile hab ich auch einige Inszenierungen gesehen: 2 x Duisburg, Bonn, Hagen, Gelsenkirchen, Bremen, Linz und ich freue mich auf viele mehr noch
