Do you know the story behind her awesome talent? She has always been singing, but when she was 20 years old and newly married she got cancer in her stomach and had to go through several operation. Because of this, she can never have children. But being member of the church she got people praying for her, and she survived the cancer.
Because of this she sees her life a gift from God, and she wanted to dedicate her life and singing to Him. She said she wants her singing to comfort people who are in pain, telling them “I see you- I’ve been there”. She has since then almost exclusively been singing at churches at home and abroad, at charity events, or events to honor other artist - meaningful events, and avoided taking part in the big music industry. She has been contacted many times by international managers who could help her getting famous here in the West (she is famous in Asia, despite her limited performances), but she has always refused.
Now she is about 40 years old (she looks so much younger!) and the last few years she has been participating in South Korean music contests on TV. When she first started singing on these TV shows she was very conflicted if this was the right thing to do. But then she saw a woman in the audience crying while she was singing, and she realised that her calling was to reach out to everyone who is hurting, not just people in church. ❤️
She not only has an outstanding talent and the most beautiful voice, her singing touches people in a way that is hard to explain, a gift from above.

you guys need to react to her " upon this rock ", which was done at some church in Brooklyn U.S., fan-cam but you'll truly appreciate how talented she is without typical arrangement in studio or in hall. She sang that in a church without a special arrangement. Also react to her " Do you know " in masked singers version, if you can find a English sub which I don't know if it's out there but what an incredible performance

-"It's Only My World"(rock performances, she changes her tone in here that caught many people off guard, also the rock high belting)
-"For Thousand Days"(a duet with male vocalist named The One. One of her best duet tbh, their voices matches really well)
-"Beauty & The Beast"(a classic song done with beautiful performance with another male vocalist Park Wan Gyu. A quiet simple but nonetheless technically great duet)
-"In The Flower Garden"(a calming & soothing performance. The headvoice part is so majestic, beautiful & flowery to listen)

Before the performance I was very nervous more than other times I even thought if I could be able to enjoy it (since it was a semifinal round). But I ended up enjoying it more than I thought.
