Hey John every 2 or 3 years after normally a barley crop we speed discs it and found it helps so much and haven’t had a block since but it’s a lot more work but sometimes it’s worth it, great video
When I check seed on our seed hawk I run it just like you are but then pick em up drive forward and walk along each row counting them. Seems to work well if you find a blocked one you count your way along to that one and away you go 👌
Thanks for the uploads Tom, learning alot , prey for a decent rain for you, stuff the blower, get a mask and compressor trailer blow those tracks out straight back in the shed. Thanks for the constant uploads, love watching them
Another great vid JH💪 We run Farmbot water monitors on our stock water tanks. Brilliant systems, app and back up. Saved us on multiple occasions. Regular updates too👌
Just wondering that when you seed at a slower ground speed it would mean a greater air to fertiliser ratio which would reduce the chances of head blockages.
Like wise use a vacuum to do the tracks and keep any moisture away for any fert! So much for ct farming , every time you pull out for a blockage and going across old sowing lines is compaction , sorry big ct is a bit of a joke

Best thing we’ve found for cleaning fert out of the door track is to hit it with the leaf blower. Gets every bit out and keeps everything dry.
That’s exactly why I opened comments was to make a comment suggesting using a Leaf Blower fast simple portable effective 😊😊😊😊
We have a leaf blower that is a vacuum cleaner as well ,
Thought the leaf blower would blow the track on the door out those plesof stubble will be fun for the combine header😂

We have a diff rule in the UK about fog and rain. Our rule is 90 seconds after fog it rains for 90 days
😂😂
Try a milawakee blower in the shed trax John. Will work a treat.
Shop vac would be useful to clear the fert out of the tracks. No waste.
We use heavy harrows to breakup the stubble in the fall no plugs
Have you tryed an air compressor to get the fert out of the door tracks
Do you ever harrow your stuble? Might not have to harrow every year, or harrow your tuff rows at least.
Another thought maybe if you added snorkel to the air intake to get it up higher
Why dont you run a gas burner in front of the fan to heat the air?
Just wondering that when you seed at a slower ground speed it would mean a greater air to fertiliser ratio which would reduce the chances of head blockages.
it is how the bar is set up. look at mid-row banders to cut the stubble between 2 openers. also why don't you use double shoot points?
On to the Barley yet?
What are your thoughts on the row track after having given it a decent run now?
a good leaf blower would clean the track faster and not as messy
I second theaf blower a big shop vac
You need blockage monitors on your next planter!
Have you thought about a 40 or 60ft disc for your next bar. 12km/h on 40ft would increase productivity
How is your fuel price? We are at $1.19/litre can dollar this spring
Instead of washing it out and wasting product. Why not get a large industrial vacuum and suck it out.

Yer I know it's just torture to do it!! Hopefully we can sort the issue out for next year
New Johnny bar will be no different with stubble blocks
no bar is immune to blocks especially if there's a press wheel behind the tine,
You need a leaf blower
What's the flashing light Anoying
It’s the lights on the bin controller. Does that until the machine has woken up and talks to the screen
get a disc for cutting trash in front of the legs
