- Today I wanted to create an Infinity Swipe - and this piece was inspired by two of my favorite artists - the legendary Olga Soby and one of my dear friends here in the UK, Marie-Louise. The infinity swipe represents a continuation of life and using the figure 8 with is spiritual and powerful.

Today's Tutorial Information:
▶ Technique: Swipe
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with a pouring medium and water. I use good quality paints that have a good binder. My pouring medium is Owatrol Floetrol. I use a ration of 1:3:1 - paint: pouring medium: water. You may have to adjust your ratios depending on the paint brands you use.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsyerdam: Titanium white
Winsor & Newton: Cobalt Blue
Pebeo: Iridescent Gold, Iridescent Blue-Black (CA mixed with Australian Floetrol), Blue Turquoise, Light Ultramarine
▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.

LOVE the background colors!
At 1st I wondered why those colors white and gold on top of the Lucious blues but once you started the swipe. I was amazed at how beautiful the the figure eight started to look as the cells began showing up. Fantastic! Yeah, the marble roll, insane
Thank you so much!☺️
That look's almost 3D with that background 😮, what an amazing piece! So much to look at and see popping out 👏👏👏👏♥️

Like floating on water.

Glad you like it! Thank you 🙏
Gorgeous. Love the colours and it turned out beautifully ❤
Thank you so much!☺️
Aaaawwwww, stunning. It's a snake in the water that's biting its own tail, fighting against itself. You can see the head on the left side. Parts of the snake are over the water surface, the rest is slightly under water. I love this piece. Great job 🖒💖
Thank you Michaela 🤩🤩🤩

Hello Mark. It is beautiful. The blue base created with marble is beautiful and it is a great idea. Swiped Infinity sign is gorgeous. Sure it will pop up after varnishing. And the blue colors too 😉. I im glad to see I am not only one who had to try after watching Olgas video 😃. The hardest thing for me was to reach regular Infinity sign...
Thanks so much 😊 Olga is amazing isn’t she. I’ve admired her for many years now. I love how we can all learn and inspire each other

Wow thank you so much - I appreciate your kind comment
IT'S 👍 GREAT AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ONCE YOU VARNISH IT.😎
Thank you so much ☺️
Hello Mark !! 🙋♀️ I see your tuto and I looove your backgrown. The color and the design do with a marble is gorgeous. 💙💙💙 The infinity design is really beautiful with all cell. I love more this color swipe then the black. It's more smooth. 👍
Sometimes black hides other colors, and it becomes very dark.
But the "black-dyna" color from pébéo did a great job!! I will try this when i do swipe in my bloom. 🌺🌼
Un message dans ce symbol de l'infini?!? Bien sur 😁
The infinity symbol means without beginning or end. Universality has always been, it has no beginning and will have no end.
Difficult for our Cartesian mind to understand that the universe has ALWAYS been.
At a very young age I tried to understand this and I couldn't. 🤔 When I was about 40 years old, I was able to connect to infinite Love and could finally get a sense of what that meant. A magical moment for me!! 🙏 It is possible to access this for each of us.
The first law of the Universe is constant evolution beyond time and death. It is always a cycle of death and rebirth. 😇😄
Everything changes but nothing is lost, nothing is created. The big everything , "God", the infinity... is unconditional Love, abundance in all spheres of our life. To access this, we must purify our ego with the help of our light guides.
When we are united with universality there is calm in our head, the ego is silent and we can feel this unconditional Love. I can assure you that this has nothing to do with human Love.🥰 😉
Sometimes I'm weird but this fascinates me so much!!! 😄
See you Sunday sweet Mark!! With another beautiful painting. 🤗💚💙💜
That’s so interesting Caroline thank you so much for taking time to explain 🤩🙏
Also Marc, ganz ehrlich : ich finde die Sachen, die Olga Soby macht, nicht besser als Deine ! Du bist mindestens genau so gut ! Liebe Grüße aus Germany 😍
That’s very kind of you to say ☺️
👍🇺🇦
Thank you 🙏
Love this. If you don't mind me asking, what type of blow torch do you use to create the cells?
Hi Brenda! Thank you. Of course not,.. it’s a butane torch- but it’s used mainly to pop air bubbles
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt thank you so much. Love your work. I am new to this art. You have taught me so much.
