We've Never Seen A Sprinter Like This || Kalen Walker Drops World's Fastest Time
While it is almost common knowledge that Kalen Walker is fast, it still came as a surprise just how fast he can actually be! In fact, just a couple of days ago, he set a new school record in the 100-meter dash.
Just who is this athlete, etching his name in history books? That’s #KalenWalker for you. The Eddyville, Iowa native is a Senior at the University of Iowa, where both his parents attended college as well. He has been very active in sports since high school which is no surprise given that he has a sports and recreation major.
In high school #trackandfield he placed third in 200 meters with 22.83 seconds and then fifth in 100 meters with 11.42 seconds at the state meet in junior year. He wasn’t able to do much after that since the senior track season was canceled due to COVID-19. Still, for the entirety of his high school life, he was a four-sport standout, first-team all-district in football, first-team all sub-state and team MVP in basketball, and led class 2A in steals his senior season as well as an all-state selection. Kalen was a 2021 Iowa Games Champion in the 200 meters with 20.94 seconds.

His high school times that qualified for state weren’t close to getting on my 1999 Vallejo high school relay teams 40.7 and 3:13, he would of had to compete to make the the B team

He is gaining about 4 tenths of a second per year in the 100m in the last couple of years. Maybe 1 year is possible. Year after year doesn't seem realistic......

You think it's realistic to drop 4 tenths for 1 more year?

@jhoncena1111 it varies. For males st the 12 second level 4 tenths is nothing. At the 11 second level is doable but takes a lot of work. Might still get 5 tenths if your form needs corrected. At the 10 second level no way to naturally achieve this. Even 2 tenths is major and most likely drug assisted.
